Entering the manor felt like a myth, it felt so surreal. Opening the door to what was probably going to be her room for quite some time felt like it wasn't supposed to happen.
This was only supposed to be a short trip, this wasn't supposed to be a full ride to Gotham.
"When you manage to get your things, it'll all be yours." Bruce said, leaning on the doorway. "I'm sorry this was the way we had to meet again."
"It's alright, I'm trying to see the bright side of this all and it might just be the fact that I'm in a billionaire's house." Marilla looked solemnly at the room.
"A perk of being friends with Bruce Wayne." Bruce smiled. "You'll probably meet my children sooner or later, I'll tell them to be calmer than usual."
"I doubt it'll be that bad." Marilla propped herself on the bed. "Can I ask an honest question?"
"Shoot."
"Do you like my brother?"
"Where did that come from?" Bruce raised an eyebrow at the woman.
"Humor me, I won't tell. Promise." Marilla smiled at the older man.
"Perhaps I do," Bruce gave a sentimental smile, "you should get some sleep, you'll meet Kori and Raven tomorrow."
"Are they nice?"
"You could say that."
"Very ominous." Marilla frowned.
"It comes with his Batman persona." Clark emerged behind Bruce.
"Are you staying the night, Kal?"
"Yeah, can't leave my little sister alone, can I?" Clark smiled, as he walked deeper into the room, "Well, good night Bruce."
"Good night Kal, good night Miss Kent."
"Mari, call me Mari."
"Good night Mari," Bruce nodded his head before leaving the room, leaving both Clark and Marilla alone.
"This doesn't feel real, Kal." Marilla leaned back into the huge bed.
"I know." The bed dips as Clark sits on the bed next to her. "I'll always be a flight away."
Marilla rolled her eyes, "Yes, you've told me like a thousand times."
"I'm trying to help." Clark frowned and watched his sister lay on the bed.
"I know," Marilla sighed, "I never thought I'd stay in Gotham, let alone in Bruce Wayne's house. It's kinda fucking me up."
Clark shrugged, "do you want me to stay?"
"Yeah."
So there Marilla was, hugging her brother like she was 9 years old again.
"Tell Lois okay? And Jon, and Kon, tell them for me please?"
"If I can't, I'm counting on you to call them." Clark let go of her, "coming home to nobody by my side might look bad." Clark gave his sister a loopy smile, "and I think Tim might tell Kon for you, just await the bombardment of text messages from him."
"Fine, fine, I'll do it tomorrow." Marilla gave a happy grin at the thought of her family, "promise to bring me some Metropolis delicacies?"
"Like what-"
"You know my favorites, don't even Kal." Marilla glared at him.
Clark looks at his sister with a small grin, "Promise, I will."

Marilla had little memory of the night before, or how she ended up covered by the blanket. She vaguely remembers calling the important people in Metropolis before probably knocking out.
