Four Years Later
The twins are now four years old and attending kindergarten. Liam is a big boy, already eight years old, and attending elementary school. Nat enrolled in the business faculty and will be finishing his studies in a few weeks. Porchay started at the Music faculty two years ago, and I will be starting at the same faculty in a few days.
Our little family has grown by another member. Nat has been seeing Max for a long time now, and he spends more and more time with us. Max and Nat met through me three years ago. My YouTube channel was becoming increasingly popular, and various stations started reaching out to me to create music for them. I even received an offer to become an artist for one of the largest record companies, DMD. Their manager, Max, invited me for coffee and introduced me to their company and their intentions with me. They wanted me to compose for them, and if I wanted, I could debut as a singer with them.
I agreed to become their composer but declined the offer to be a singer. I explained to Max that I had one-year-old twins and that producing music was a much more flexible job for me. Max was sad but agreed.
Max became my manager, and I started getting more commissions. He was skilled, and soon my productions were gaining prominence. I even let myself be persuaded a few times to sing OSTs for several series, but I never performed live for them. When Max first visited me at home, he met Nat, and I literally saw sparks fly between them. I knew it was love at first sight.
I also kept in touch with Jay, and he managed to persuade me to play at his place a few times. I usually filled in when someone from the regular band had an emergency. Playing in front of an audience scared me a bit, but it also made me happy. I hid behind my mask, so no one knew who I was.
I have to say that my life finally took a good direction.
"Pleeeease, pleeeease, pleeeease," Jj clasped her hands and tried to soften me with her doe-eyed look.
"NuNew, pleeeease." Max was hiding his head behind the tablet next to me, laughing.
"Jj, I don't know if it's the right time. I'd rather stay a composer; I don't think my voice would catch on." I tried to resist, but Jj was very stubborn.
"NuNew, your voice is exactly what we need. She insists that you have to sing it and wants you in the music video too. She's a big fan of yours. Please, it will be a huge boost for your career."
I looked at the lyrics of the song again; they were really good, and collaborating with Arm would be great for my career, but appearing in the MV too?
"Jj, are you sure it's necessary for me to appear in the MV? Arm doesn't even know me."
"She insisted on it."
I sighed and looked at Max. He just smiled. "You won't find support from me; I'd be more than happy if you did it."
"Okay, one MV won't kill me." I gave in. Maybe I'll like it, who knows. It will be an interesting experience.
The day on set for the "Unforgettable" music video was truly unforgettable. The morning started early; when I arrived at the filming location, it was barely around six o'clock. Normally, I'm an early bird—having two kids doesn't allow for anything else—but I was still a bit groggy. It was a beautiful place, full of greenery and with a stunning view. It looked a bit like a historic castle from European fairy tales. I felt a bit nervous but also excited because I had never been on a film set before.
The first thing we did was prepare for the shoot. The makeup artists and stylists took care of my appearance. It was the first time in my life I had makeup on, and it took almost an hour. I hardly recognized myself. I usually wear my hair slicked back, but now it was styled like never before. They put blush on my cheeks and gloss on my lips to make them look fuller. While the director and cameraman discussed the scenes we would be shooting, I looked around the set in disbelief. I met Arm, and we greeted each other. This wasn't our first meeting. We had already recorded and polished the song in the studio. I looked around. It was amazing to see how many people were involved in creating a single music video. If I weren't there myself, I wouldn't believe it.
When everything was ready, we started filming the first scenes. It was a bit challenging because we had to repeat some shots several times to get them perfect. But the atmosphere on set was great; everyone was friendly and supportive.
One of my favorite parts of the day was filming the dance scenes. We had great choreography, and the dancers were amazing. It was challenging but also a lot of fun. I felt full of energy and joy.
During breaks, we had time to rest and have some refreshments. It was great to chat with other team members and share experiences from the shoot. Everyone was very kind and supportive, which boosted my confidence.
The day went by quickly, and before I knew it, it was evening. We filmed the last scenes at sunset, which gave the video a beautiful atmosphere. When we finished, I felt tired but very satisfied. Max was on set with me all day, thankfully. Otherwise, I would have been a bit lost. I was quite nervous about not seeing the twins all day, but Max arranged it so that I didn't have to wait for the final cut. As soon as all the scenes I was in were done, I could go home. I said goodbye to the whole team and arranged with Arm that we must meet with the twins. When she found out I had kids, she insisted on seeing their photos, and once she saw them, she immediately fell in love with them.
I was really happy these times. Everything fill in the place, I have my small family and I started to finaly gained confidence first time in my life. I already forgotten about my past. I am happy.
