Chapter 5
Something’s wrong and I already know it.
“When will you stop tutoring me? I’m so bored. Can I take a break?? Hmm??” Caesar said to me and I just rolled my eyes and sigh “Fine. we’ll continue tomorrow.” “Finally” Caesar packs his things but leaves them on the chair. I was confused. Why'd he just leave his things there? But then suddenly he stood up and walked toward the counter. I guess he was just gonna take an order cause we were inside of the cafe (almost forgot we were in the cafe.) I packed my things as well, I put my laptop inside my bag and tidied the table. A few minutes later I take my bag and put it on my shoulder but suddenly someone grabs my wrist. I look at the hand who grabs me slowly lifting my head. It was just Caesar.
“Wait..” Caesar said to me
“What now?” I ask Caesar
“Here.” Caesar handed me a coffee
“What was this for? You didn’t put poison on it, right?” I jokingly said to him, “Just take the damn coffee.” I took the coffee in his hand and took a sip, “It’s a thank you gift for you.” I almost choke on my coffee when he said he was thanking me? Since when?? “What now? You Caesar laurier, thanking me? Are you sick right now??”
“I’m not.” Cold replied from Caesar just like always.
Before i could reply he took hes bag from the chair and leave me at the cafe
A week later I go to school like normal as always, every monday-saturday.
Larisa and I always goes to school together but this time she can’t go to school cause she got a fever this weekend, she didn’t give me the reason why and i didn't bother her to tell me so i just quick replied Her on my phone “Get well Lari <3” before putting my phone in my pocket and continued walking at the hallway it’s only 7:37am in the morning but the hallway already full of students, and some of them are looking at me… are they gossiping me? What the heck— “Hey Alli!” I recognize that voice and that nickname?? No..only Kai gave me that nickname!
I quickly looked back and saw Kai Larsen. My best friend when I was in highschool before I met Larisa backthen kai flew to the other country because of his dad’s business and now he’s back?!.
I ran toward him and hugged him tight like a koala laying on the branch.
“Missed me?” He said “Of course I do, you dumbhead!” I teased he chuckled and hugged me back.
Me and Kai were rivals at grades back then, whoever has the lowest gonna treat the highest food. I always lost to him and I hated it because he's always picking the most expensive food!
“Did you transfer back here?” “Yep and were classmates again. And I'm gonna beat you. Again.” I rolled my eyes. Realizing everyone was murmuring at each other, were they talking at my back?
