"So, how did you get to know P' Cir?"

After seeing the message from Cirrus, Phukan couldn't quite remember what happened next. He only knew that within seconds, he was surrounded by classmates, seniors, and juniors, all asking how he got close to Cirrus, why he brought him a drink, and what his relationship with him was. It was Nalin who grabbed his wrist and led him out of the crowd, leaving Achi to be the prey of the curious girls who were dying to know the details.

Achi's shout of 'You traitors!' still echoed in his ears.

Now, they were all gathered in a classroom.

Why did Phukan describe it as 'they'? Because his three friends now surrounded him.

First, there was Nalin, who, despite being usually cute and clingy, could be as scary as a vulture eating its prey when she wanted to know something. She was the one who vividly recounted the whole event to the others.

Second, there was Tee, who listened quietly, nodding occasionally, but her beautiful face clearly showed interest.

Lastly, Jin, the artsy friend of the group, who sat with his chin in his hand, staring at the sky with a disinterested look.

In summary, the most excited one was Nalin.

When Nalin finished her story and turned to ask, Phukan shook his head vigorously.

"I don't know him."

Oh, if P' Cir were here, he'd definitely look disappointed in me. Phukan thought to himself.

"If you don't know him, then how did he bring you that green tea drink? And how did he know you like this brand of green tea, and your favorite flavor at that?" Nalin pressed, blinking her eyes at him.

"Phu, are you really not going to tell us?"

"No, it's not like that," Phukan quickly defended himself. When he saw her disappointed eyes, he added, "I was his junior in high school."

"But I've never seen you talk to him. Actually, who does P' Cir talk to?" Nalin seemed to be talking to herself by the end.

"Exactly, I've never talked to him," Phukan nodded, confirming her thoughts.

"Oh."

"There's no 'oh' about it. I'm still confused as to why he talked to me. Seriously, is someone playing a prank on me?" Phukan tried to look stern, but it only made him look like a puppy trying to bare its teeth for the first time—he looked adorable.

Even Jin turned his gaze from the bright sky to smile at him while Tee ruffled Phukan's hair playfully.

"Who'd prank you, Phu?"

"Exactly. Besides, who could get someone like P' Cir to prank you? I heard from my friends in accounting that even seniors and professors don't dare to order him around. Who'd have the guts to prank you with him?" Nalin reasoned, nodding confidently at her own logic.

"I think he likes you, Phu."

"What?! No way!" Phukan exclaimed loudly as soon as she concluded.

"There's no way someone like P' Cir likes me. Impossible."

"Hey, don't you believe me?" Nalin pouted.

"It's impossible. He couldn't be into someone like me. In high school, he had so many admirers. He even had a fan club at school," Phukan insisted, dismissing what he heard last night. He was convinced someone was playing a prank on him.

"He still has admirers now. But forget about the fan club. I really think P' Cir likes you. He smiled at you," Nalin argued stubbornly, causing Phukan to shake his head.
