Dracos POV:

Once I was back in the slythering common room, Remington was waiting for me. I put my wall back up almost instantly, not letting someone see me so vulnerable.

"How was it? With the mud blood, Potter, and Weasley?" Goyle asked with a laugh.

Remington was looking through some books he had, so I sat down next to him and nuged his foot. He looked at me and nodded.

"What?" He asked me, confused.

"Why are you nose deep in a book?"

Remington immediately got red and looked away. I rolled my eyes, ignoring him and facing Goyle.

"As annoying as ever. Of course, Potter had to save the day with being who he was." I spat. "And you know, Hagrid picking sides. The big geezer always chooses the magic three."

I looked back at Remington, and this time, he was writing stuff down in the book. Notes of some sort.

"Oh, will you quite it! What has got you so focused on school? I'm a friend in need, Leith. Focus on me."

"I just heard... I have to get a certain score on my exams to take Defense Against the Dark Arts."

"So? You should be fine without studying. Exams a long time from now." He shrugged, and I noticed his blush. "It's the teacher."

"What? No!"

I sighed and threw my cloak at him. I got off the couch and walked to our room, looking through my stuff all over my bed. I found what I needed and walked downstairs.

"Andrew Biersack, 1990 graduate of Hogwarts...teacher of Defense Against the Dark Arts for 2 years. Slytherin..." I mumble as I read over everything.

"How do you have of that information on him?" Remington glared as he stood up, walking to me.

"What? My dad had it. It shows you whoever you want to see. Duh."

Remington grabbed it and stared at the paper. I roll my eyes as his cheeks get pink. "His sexuality isn't filled..."

"I've never seen a person with their sexuality filled. He's probably straight like all the other teachers out here."

"You don't know that." Remington says as he shoves the paper in my face.

I look at it again my my breath hitched. Hsrry Potter, first year, Gryffindor, Seeker..

I quickly put the paper down and walked away. I didn't want to keep looking at it.

"Draco!"

"Enough, I'm off to bed!" I shouted from the stairs.

Lying in bed was difficult. I didn't know why the paper showed Potter. Who is willingly thinking about him?

"Draco, Harry is in the common room...he's said you forgot something and he wants to return it." Remington spoke as he put his stuff away and got in bed.

I immediately got up. I looked through my stuff and couldn't find anything missing. At least until I noticed my wand missing.

I must have dropped it when we fell, and I he'd behind him.

I ran out of the dormitories and straight down the stairs to find Harry holding a blanket like cloth.

"Had it over. Give me my wand at once."

Harry smiled softly and moved the blanket as he reached into his back pocket and pulled out my wand. He held it for me to see and placed it in my hand.

"Oh, and Draco. You don't have to pretend to be someone you're not."

He turns around and starts to walk out, but I stop him.

"Wingardium Leviosa"

Harry frowned as he looked at me from in the air. I smirk and put him down closer to me.

"What, Malfoy?"

"How is it that you, a simple boy like yourself, if the most famous wizard in the world? More famous than...than Voldemort?"

Harry seemed annoyed and turned around to walk out again, I put my wand to the ready, but he saw past it and turned around quickly.

"Expelliarmus!"

My wand went flying out of my hand. I was too focused on making sure I didn't lose it to notice Harry walking out of the common room.

"Filthy half blood. Acting as if he's better than me. I'll show him."

That night, I stayed up, studying. I was going to make sure I could beat Harry in everything. Show that I was better than him.

The next morning, I was tired and had bags under my eyes. Remington threw something at my face and frowned. "You look like shit."

"I stayed up all night."

"Doing?"

"Studing." I mumble, a little to quietly.

"Repeat that?"

"Studying! I was studying. Don't say anything to anyone, or I'll kill you."

"Whoah, Draco. Relax, man. I don't want any issues. We're friends, remember? Trust me."

"I don't trust you for shit." I spat and got out of bed, getting dressed rather quickly and walking out of the dormitories and straight to potions.

Of course, everyone was already there, I was late.

"Malfoy. You're late. 10 points from Slytherin." Snape spoke with an unamused stare.

I didn't answer and just sat in my seat. Goyle was there, to my surprise. I wasn't expecting to see him. He often skips class.

"Why were you late? I thought you went to bed early?"

"I was going to, but I stayed up -"

"Silence. I won't hesitate to take more points."

I roll my eyes and stare at Potter as he laughs with his friends. I glare at Hermione, that filthy mudblood, always acting so nice and good. Teachers pet.

I hated it. I wanted to go home already. Thank god we have a month left. I can't deal with these people any longer. I need to be around my people. The people who I know.
