It was 6am on a rainy morning in Gotham city. My alarm went off. I have to get up and get ready for work. I work in a small but cute bakery.

I turn off my alarm and rub my eyes. I don't want to get out of bed - it is so comfortable. I yawn and get up anyway. I take a glimpse outside my apartment window, wich was on the 10th floor, and notice the rainy weather outside.

I walk into the bathroom to brush my teeth and do my skincare. I look into the bathroom mirror. My long, brown hair was still in the bun I had put it last night before going to bed.

I choose to put in some contacts today instead of wearing my black glasses. I do my everyday makeup, brush my hair and put on some jeans, a long sleeve top and a cozy cardigan. I grab my bag and take one last look in the mirror, checking myself out, before going out the door and making my way to the bakery.

„Good morning y/n", my coworker says as I walk out from the back to the counter while putting on an apron, my hair being in a ponytail. „Morning, holly", I answer while giving her a warm smile. Holly is a good friend of mine as well as my coworker.

I put all the pastry's away to where they belong and organize everything as the bakery is about to open. Holly helps me out and we manage to finish just in time.

I turn the little sign at the entrance door around so it reads 'open' from the outside. I  join holly behind the counter and we start serving customers.

A man walks through the door and holly seems to get excited. I look at her with confusion but finish doing my task without noticing who she is looking at. Then I look up, ready to serve the next customer. I see the man holly has been looking at all excited. It was Jim Gordon. „Good morning y/n". He smiles at me. "Hi, I'm guessing you want the usual?", I ask as I return his smile.

We know each other well. He's a friend of my family and helped me out quit a lot in the past. He is a great detective. He comes to the bakery almost every single day to get breakfast, as the bakery is only a few blocks away from the GCPD.

„Bullock not with you this time? A rare occurrence" I giggle as I pack his order. „Yeah, he was too lazy to come with me. You know how he is". I nod and hand him his order. „Your total today is 10,50$". „Here you go, darling". He hands me the money. I give him his change.

Before he leaves he comes up to me once again. „oh and before I forget it...". He gives me a serious look. „There's a criminal on the loose right now. He's not completely sane. Take care and if you see something suspicious call me and I'll be with you as soon as possible". My eyes widen a little but I sigh in relief as he tells me that he is always available for me if something happens. „Thank you, Gordon". We give each other one last smile before he turns around and leaves.

A few more hours had passed now and it was currently 3pm. My shift was going to be over at 4pm. Holly serves some more customers as I walk around cleaning some of the tables inside before I suddenly notice a lot of commotion outside on the streets of Gotham.

I turn around and it seems like the others in the bakery have noticed it too. I put the dishes back down on table and walk outside onto the streets to take a look on what's going on outside.

Then I see what all the commotion's about...
