Chapter 3

I manage to fall sleep for a few minutes before waking up to my phone ringing. I yawn and get my phone off my nightstand.

„Who's this?" I ask. „Hey y/n. It's me, Gordon. Sorry to interrupt you again but I need you to come down to the GCPD". I listen to him speak, confused because of his request.

„Why? Did something happen?". "No, no...It's not that. We'll discuss everything as soon as you get here". Before I can answer he ends the call.

Great. I get up from my bed to get dressed again. I put on some Jeans I get from the floor and put on a black hoodie. I let my hair open. I grab my keys and walk out the front door.

I walk into the GCPD building. It was loud in here and full of criminals and detectives. I look around to search for Jim.

„Up here, y/n". I turn my head to the left and notice Jim standing in front of the Captains office. I walk up to him.

„So...What's so important?" I ask him a little annoyed. „Where should I start..." he mutters under his breath. I raise an eyebrow at him.

"You see...Remember when I told you about an insane criminal that's on the loose this morning in the bakery?". I slowly nod.

„He may be a criminal but he's very smart and we can't manage to catch him. He's always two steps ahead of us. But the longer he's out there the more sinister things he'll commit".

I look at him confused. „Uhm...what do I have to do with that? Why are you telling me this?". He sighed. "I was hoping that you could do me a favor". He shrugs. „You owe me one anyway".

My eyebrows furrow. „A favor? Let me guess".
I frown. „A favor that involves that criminal?". Detective Gordon doesn't answer but he doesn't need to. I can tell by the look on his face.

I sigh. „What would I have to do?". His face lightens up a bit. „Well...our plan was that you seduce him in any way to distract him from his intentions so that it's easier for us to get to him and finally arrest him". I stare at him in disbelief.

„Yeah...There's no way I am doing that". „Please, y/n. I think that plan would work! I heard he liked brunettes like you a lot". I scoff. „You seriously want to put me in such a position? That's dangerous! What if he doesn't even like me and tries killing me?!".

„We will watch your every move. If he tries to do something we will help you. It's important, y/n. Your actions could save Gotham. Just think about it".

I was speechless. I don't know if I should do it. „What's his name?". Gordon walks over to his desk and gets the criminals file. He opens it to check what his name was. „Jerome Valeska is his name".

The name sounds familiar but no one comes to mind. „Not sure if I ever heard of him. Doesn't ring a bell right now". He smiles. „He was all over the news. Don't you watch the news?". I shake my head. „Not really" I respond.

He walks back over to me. Harvey Bullock joins us. „You in on our plan?" he asks, curious on what my answer will be. I look over at Jim and he also looks at me with curiosity.

I sigh. „Fine. I'll do it. What's the first thing I need to do?".
