Heeseung was juggling more than his fair share of responsibilities.

As Mr. Sim's dedicated secretary, he was known for his hard work and meticulousness, never letting anything slip through the cracks.

But being a single parent to his young son, Solon, added another layer to his already demanding life.

Usually, Heeseung managed to balance everything, keeping his personal and professional lives as separate as possible.

Today, however, he had no choice but to bring Solon to work.

The babysitter had canceled at the last minute, and his usual backup was out of town.

With an apologetic call to Mr. Sim, he explained the situation, only to be met with understanding.

The CEO assured him it was fine, and Heeseung let out a breath of relief.

That morning, Heeseung set up Solon in the small office attached to his own, hoping the boy would stay occupied with his toys and coloring books.

He gave him strict instructions to stay put, and Solon, with wide, curious eyes, nodded dutifully.

But as the hours ticked on, the office bustle, new surroundings, and curiosity got the better of the young child.

Heeseung was buried in a stack of paperwork, fielding calls and preparing presentations, hardly able to spare a glance to the side.

At some point, without Heeseung noticing, Solon quietly opened the door and wandered out, his little legs carrying him down the corridor as he took in the new sights.

The glass walls, the rows of desks, the soft hum of conversation, it was a whole new world to explore.

Solon wandered further until he found himself in the executive wing, where Jake Sim, the CEO's son and known playboy of the office, was reviewing a report in one of the meeting rooms.

Jake was used to being the center of attention, a young alpha with an air of confidence and allure.

Solon's little fingers traced the edge of the door frame as he curiously peered into the meeting room where Jake was working.

The room looked so fascinating, with a giant glass desk littered with shiny objects that seemed just within reach.

Jake was focused on his report, unaware of Solon's approach, until a sudden crash shattered the silence.

Jake's head snapped up, his eyes widening in disbelief as he saw his sleek, limited edition crystal paperweight in pieces on the floor, Solon standing beside it with a horrified expression.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing?"
Jake shouted, his voice sharper than he intended.
He dropped his report and strode over to the boy, his face darkening with irritation.
"Do you have any idea how expensive that was?"

Solon's lower lip quivered, and he looked up at Jake with wide, frightened eyes, but Jake's frustration overpowered any sense of restraint.

"You can't just wander around breaking things! Don't you know how to stay put?"

That was all it took.

Solon's eyes filled with tears, and within seconds, he was sobbing, overwhelmed and scared.

The sound of his son's cries hit Heeseung like an alarm.

He instantly looked up from his desk, his pulse racing.

Realizing Solon wasn't where he'd left him, he darted out of his office and followed the sound, his heart thudding with fear and anger.

When he reached the meeting room and took in the scene.
