Triggerwarning: Blood, death, dead bodies
Agatha had nothing much to do today, so why not catch a break? She always hated the busy streats of New York, but staying in wasnt an Option either. The last thing she wanted to do was run into one of her co-workers. It wasnt like she was part of Shield for fun, and being put with the Avengers was even more annoying. Earth could solve their problems on their own. Normally that always worked so well, why not now? Agatha would much rather be on her space ship, with her flerken. With a quiet sigh she threw her long, brown hair over her shoulders and got up.
There was a good Coffee shop down the streat, usually pretty quiet. It would be the best place for her right now. She just needed her bag. Agatha turned around, her eyes scanning the room carefully, but to no avail. Her bag was nowhere to be seen. The woman let out an annoyed groan. "Fuck" she mumbled. "Something wrong?" a voice behind her said. Agatha shot around to, see a familiar woman learning against the doorfraim with a smug grin in her face. Her black hair was neatly tied into a bun and her white shirt perfectly matched the dark grey suit she was wearing. She had her arms crossed, while she looked at Agatha curiously.
"Agent Vidal" Agatha stated, trying to keep her voice as monoton as possible. She had tried her best to avoid her ex-wife as much as possible, but somehow this woman always found a way to completely mess Agatha up again. Even if it was interrupting her during work hours. "Is there something you need?" She asked, praying to any gods there might be to get this conversation over with as soon as possible. "I have a bit of Paperwork for the case for you" Rio smirked. As Rio got into the details of the new Information she got, Agatha caught herself thinking about how well that red lipstick suited her. She had to strongly remind herself to stay focused on the case, after all it had been her who broke up with Rio. Sometimes, when she had been all alone in space, she wondered if she dogded a bullet or just lost the love of her life
"Did you get that Agatha?" Agatha quickly nodded, hoping Rio wouldnt notice she didnt listen to a single word she said, but the expression of the other woman told her she did. Agatha was expecting a smug grin or a comment about it, but instead Rio looked rather concerned. The black haired woman put the Paperwork down on Agathas Desk, before turning to her. "You can't hide in space and shut everyone out forever". Agatha tried to reply "but I'm not-" "Agatha." Rio slightly tilted her head. In her eyes Agatha could see a bit of concern and sadness, but also something different. She just couldnt quite tell what it was yet.
Just as Agatha was about to say something Beck burst into her office. Captain America, Agatha never really liked him too much. He looked like he had just seen a ghost. "Vidal, Agatha we need you. Quickly. It's him". Rios face immediatly hardend, all signs of concern suddenly gone. Agatha didnt really know what could possibly scare Beck like that, but she also knew that she had to help, so she followed him and her past lover.
