''Dear second fiancé.. Let's call off the engagement.''

''Although.. To begin this story, I should start from ending the first one.''

Clank clonk clank — sounded the black boots with thin high heels against the hard smoothened stone streets reflecting the popular nightlife and its neon lights. One leg after another, the hem of her black trench coat fluttering from each kick of the knees, her soft waves of an ashy blond hair fell and bounced behind her back. People turned their heads instinctively towards her and the strong presence, perfect posture and determination in the hooded siren eyes as she avoided the crowd, zigzagging her way through.

''Excuse me..'' Lydia pushed through a group of men who looked at her as if trying to debate whether they should chase her and offer their fine company or let her go. Judging by her current aura, they decided on the latter.

Outside the hottest club of the city, Lydia stopped in front of the bouncer who gave her a hard strict once over. Lydia rolled her eyes and pulled hard on the belt of the trench coat, opening and revealing a deep red dress appropriate for the clubs standards.

The bouncer nodded towards the entrance, signing at her to go. Lydia offered the tiniest smile, yet her eyes wouldn't waver from their purpose. She continued the confident steps deeper, the music going louder as the dim lights turned into many colors of decorative lights on the walls, ceiling and the edges of the stairs. She barely saw the stairs going underground, held on to the railing for her dear life. Whoever chose the dark red as the appropriate light must be looking for a lawsuit from a broken ankle. Lydia knew that if she was to fall down now, she wouldn't keep going. And leaving wasn't an option.

It had been a hot minute since Lydia had entered a nightclub herself. The sight opened up in front of her, and seeing the people in their finest wobbly drunken state, smelling the strong mix of alcohol, perfume and sweat already gave her a headache like no other.

Lydia did her best as she concentrated the strict hawk-eyes, scanning through the huge space with high tables and bar stools, two separate bar counters with people in lines at both of them, dance floor in the middle of it all with a stand for the DJ hyping up the crowded party — along with the booths on each side.

''There you are..'' Lydia smirked and got on her heels, stretching her neck ready for what was to come.

Non of them noticed her until it was too late, one of the men in the group laughing until his eyes froze on her own, stopping the louder than music cackle of his on the spot, the only movement possible was him slapping at the bicep of the man sitting next to him, and soon enough they all noticed her.

Standing there, arms crossed. Staring down at one particular man with his arm around another woman.

''L— Lydia?''

There he was, round eyes with a hint of panic. Non other than Lydia's long time fiancé — Chase Atkins.

Lydia did nothing but raised her eyebrows with an asking smile on her lips. Giving him an opportunity to explain himself, at least once. She noticed how he would flinch away from the other woman, yet her response was to cling closer, ''Ah, so that's how it is..''

''How are— How is she?'' Chase looked around and seemed to go into panic mode, but soon would realize as Lydia nodded towards one of his friends who had — much for her profit — posted a video on social media where the two lovebirds were right behind him, not a single pixel to tell otherwise. Lydia could see Chase give a deathly look at his friend who couldn't act dump even if he tried.

''You said that she was out of the city!'' The woman whined while pushing against him.

''Oh?'' Lydia tilted her head as she shifted the focus on the redhead beside her fiancé, ''So you knew about me? I have to say, I'm quite disappointed..'' Lydia sighed and did not avoid the eye contact, ''You know I thought that this could be one of those girls girl moments for the both of us but no, you two deserve one another.''
