Boiling Hot Water
All I need is boiling hot water,
That searing, burning heat,
To forget the pain that I can't erase,
To feel its warmth as it runs down my spine.
It makes my skin shine,
Then peel away,
Soothing my inner child-
Blazing hot water,
All I need is blazing hot water.I need its warmth
To forget the wrath that haunts me,
The hurt that never fades.
I need it hot,
For I am afraid to leave,
The world outside is too cold,
Too sharp,
Too much for me to bear.I long for the humble embrace of hot water,
To cradle my broken parts,
To hide my fears,
And mask the redness in my eyes.
Scorching hot water,
All I need is scorching hot water,
To burn away my skin,
To wash away my sins.I smell something strange,
Oh-it's my hair,
But still, I won't come out,
For the world outside would freeze me,
Turn me inside out.Oh, dear hot water,
Could I live without you?
I doubt it.
