I dropped my phone on the bed, running my hands through my tangled hair. The conversation with Alexander still lingered in my mind.

Plopping onto the bed, I smiled. At least I had something to preoccupy my time.

As I closed my eyes, my eyelids grew heavy, and I drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, my alarm clock pierced through the silence, jolting me awake.

I groggily reached over to shut it off, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

6:00 AM.

Exactly two hours to get ready and be at work.

I groaned, slowly dragging myself out of bed.

Time to get moving.

I picked out my outfit: a crisp white button-up shirt, a fitted black skirt that fell just above my knees, and black heels with distinctive red soles - Louboutins.

Rushing to brush my teeth and take a bath, I emerged with dripping hair and perked nipples.

Grabbing a towel, I quickly dried myself and began detangling my dark curls.

Next, the blow dryer.

Downstairs, I sipped orange juice and toasted whole grain bread.

Coffee would have to wait until later.

In the car - my sleek silver Audi A3 - I typed in Revernance's address on the GPS.

At The Daily Grind, I ordered a Caramel Macchiato.

Back in my car, coffee in hand, I continued my drive.

7:50 AM.

Arriving at Revernance, I took a deep breath.

Showtime.

I stepped out of the car, adjusting my skirt and smoothing my hair.

Confidence.

I walked into the building, ready to take on my first day.

7:50 AM. Precise.

I made my way to the entrance, anticipating Sylvia's arrival. As I descended the stairs, I spotted her conversing with the front desk attendant.

"Excuse me, where is Mister Luciano's office?" she asked, her voice confident. "I was asked to meet with him today."

The attendant gestured toward me, and Sylvia's gaze followed.

Our eyes met, and I smiled.

"Miss Valenti, good morning. It's nice to see you," I said, approaching her.

Sylvia turned, her eyes locking onto mine. "Good morning, Mister Luciano."

"Please, call me Alexander," I said, gesturing toward the elevator. "Let's head to my office."

We walked in comfortable silence, the soft hum of the elevator filling the air.

Inside my office, I rounded my desk, gesturing for Sylvia to take a seat.

"Thank you for coming in today," I said, reviewing her resume. "I must say, your background is impressive."

Sylvia smiled, her posture confident.

"Now, let's discuss the role and expectations."

I explained her responsibilities, from managing schedules to accompanying me on business trips.
