This hallway looks so much bigger than the school. Oh. Almost forgot. It's an university.
Kamii University
Luckily I'd got in through the scholarship program.
It had been about two months since I joined in and I'm still not used to the crowd and the atmosphere.
"Too many people"
I muttered to myself and kept walking while reading my novel.
Suddenly, I bumped into someone.
"Watch where you're going, air head!"
"Sorry"
I looked up to see a guy who was about 4 inches taller than me, glaring at me like he was going to tear my throat out.
He was wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and black converse. He had indigo coloured hair and almost black but slightly purple eyes.
He had an intoxicating scent and an intimidating presence.
I gulped and moved two steps backwards. He cursed under his breath, ran his hands through his hair and walked off.
I sighed in relief and bent to pick my book up when I heard a familiar voice.
My heart begin to beat loudly. My face started heating up.
Kaneki Ken.
He had already lifted my book up from the ground.
"You have a good choice in books Hoshi chan"
"T-thanks"
"Mind if we walk to class together?"
"Not at all"
I walked next to him. Maintaining the friendly distance.
He dropped me off to my class and went to his class which was three rooms away. He was two grades ahead of me.
I walked towards an empty seat which was my usual place now. I was still in a dazed state because of Kaneki.
His black hair and his dark grey eyes were mesmerising. Just then I heard someone scoff.
I looked around to see the same guy I bumped into he had an annoyed look on his face. I looked at my shoes. I couldn't keep eye contact with someone like him.
I was looking outside the window and there was a cool breeze blowing on my face.
"Mayonaka Hoshi!"
I raised my hand.
"Here"
I saw him look at me, the guy with indigo coloured hair other then that. The class was not very interesting.
I saw Hide and Kaneki outside the class, Waiting for me. A smile crept on my face. After the bell rang I walked out of class and spent time with Kaneki and Hide who was giving me the "you're blushing I know you like him" look.
I slapped his shoulder. He kept on talking about some girl called Rize who he was going out with. It upset me that he was going out with some other girl but he looked happier than usual. He was unaware that I crushed on him all through high school till now
Kaneki was walking me to the street where my home was located.
"Okay. I'll see you then. Bye"
"Kaneki Kun?"
"Hai?"
"Nothing. Bye."
"Bye."
We parted ways and I went back home. I switched on the TV and changed my clothes.
The news about "silver leech" was all over the news. He was rated one of the most dangerous ghouls and he was near my locality.
We were warned to stay in our homes and not loiter around at night, especially midnight.
I tried calling Kaneki. It was switched off.
I saw the frantic people in the news channels. Warning the people in our area especially.
I smiled to myself while I tied my hair up in a bun and made coffee.
This was going to be fun.
