August 27,

"Did you see we re-recorded Walk this Way? It's been getting a shit ton of air time lately." Steven said, as I sipped my mimosa. We were out to breakfast in Boston, and Steven didn't tell me what we were here for.

"No I didn't, but that's great." I answered truthfully. "What did you do different?" I wanted to know. It was a great song with a great riff, but it never really got recognized on the Toys album, which was pretty much rock solid.

"We recorded with this rap group- Run D.M.C. We made a video and everything- They rapped the whole thing, Joe played guitar. I sang in some spots. MTV is playing the music video like crazy." he sounded excited, and I was happy for him.

I watched a man, a little older then me, push his way into the restaurant. He was making a scene, arguing with the wait staff. I watched carefully and pushed my remaining bacon and eggs around on the plate.

"Do you want more syrup?" I heard Steven ask Jade. She shook her head no and continued to stuff her face with pancakes.

"Mrs. Tyler, can I get you anything?" asked the young waiter.

I broke my attention from the intruder at the door to address the waiter. "I'm fine, thank you." I waved him away.

"Baby, do you want some of this?" Steven asked, pushing a link of sausage around on his plate. I chuckled at my dirty mind.

"No, not now. Maybe later though." I smirked and Steven shuffled in his seat, with a knowing smile on his face.

Suddenly, the intruder sprinted for us and that freaked me out. He made it to our table, but the manager of the restaurant followed close behind.

"Janie! Thank god you're here!" said the strange man.

"Who the fuck are you?" I spat at him. I really had no idea who he was.

"Oh, sweetheart. Don't play dumb. You know exactly who I am. You can't hide just because you're back with him." his voice was seething, spitting venom as he eyed Steven hatefully.

This was enough for Steven. I watched him jump out of his seat and shove the man away from the table. "Get the fuck away from my wife or I'll beat the shit out of you." he was fuming mad.

"Why don't you ask your wife about me? She knows exactly who I am." he had a devilish grin on his face and it scared me.

"She already says she doesn't know who you are. What the fuck do you want?"

I watched him take a few steps towards me, until he was almost in my face. "That's what she says n-" I punched him right in between the eyes and watched him slink to the ground, knocked out cold. I clutched my knuckles, which were pulsating in pain.

"Fuck that hurt." I shook the pain out of them as best as I could, just as the police came running to our table.

"Are you alright Mrs. Tyler?" asked the larger policeman.

"Fine now that this asshole isn't in my face." I rolled my eyes.

"Is everyone okay? No one else is injured?" the policeman looked back and forth between Jade, Steven, and our waiter.

"We're okay." Steven answered curtly.

I had to answer the questions of the police. Who was he? Did I know him? What happened? I told them the whole truth. I had no idea who he was, nor had I ever met him.

"Mommy, are you okay?" Jade asked.

"Yeah sweety, I'm fine." I answered honestly. I was tired of waiting for the police to take statements from every witness. I walked over to the officer.
