The last show of the year went great. I was happy to have my family back, and for once, everything felt like it was going right.

After the show, we went and had a celebratory end of tour dinner party with the whole band and crew. The kids ended up falling asleep on the car ride over, but we had a nice dinner. We spent a few days at home in Sunapee where we visited my parents. Janie met with some old friends while Jade and I played outside.

Now it was off to Vancouver. We were spending a few months there to record the new album. I was excited when Janie agreed to come along. We were now officially trying to have a baby, and now was the ideal time. I guess technically she could be pregnant already, but she hasn't taken a test yet.

Our flight to Vancouver was long, about ten hours, with two stops along the way. We had a lay over in Minnesota and one in Saskatchewan. We were planning on relaxing for the day and seeing some of the sights. Tomorrow, the band and I would get in the studio.

The flight to Vancouver from Sunapee was brutal. Luckily, we arrived safely and we were set to spend the day relaxing and sight seeing. First though, we had to see where we were staying for the next few months.

We pulled up in the oversized SUV to a huge house. It was gated, so Steven had to punch a code in to get inside.

"Looks like a nice place." Steven commented as we pulled up to the front door.

"I hope so, because it's home for the next few months." I blinked my eyes and glazed the surroundings.

There was a lake, a pool, and a playground set. Perfect for the kids.

I pulled my glasses down and grabbed my purse. I took out the key for the front door and slid it in the lock. The door popped open and I walked inside to see a beautiful entryway with a vaulted ceiling. The kitchen was spacious with all of the state of the art appliances. I walked from there to the living room, which had a huge TV. Connecting the living room and the kitchen was the dining room. There was a beautiful wooden table.

I mounted the staircase and turned the corner to find four big bedrooms. All three of them were nicely decorated. One had pink sheets, and I knew automatically it had to be Jade's.

I walked into the bigger bedroom and looked around. This would be our bedroom. It was huge and had a full spa bathroom attached. I set my purse down and walked back downstairs.

"Babe?" I called from the top of the steps.

"Yeah?" Steven called back.

"The bedroom is huge! And the bathroom has a spa tub." I told him.

"Yeah I know. I'm glad you like it. And two extra bedrooms too." he shot me a grin.

"Yeah it's nice." I nodded my head and continued to survey the house. It was beautifully decorated in every room.

"The basement has a sound proof recording studio and a play room next to it." He added, knowing I approved.

"The movers should be here soon. I don't want to be here when they get here." I told him indefinitely.

"Well we're going into town anyway. I'm starving." Steven said.

I went back outside to find Jade, who had yet to see her new bedroom.

"Jade? Jaaaaaade!" I called.

There was no answer, and this kind of scared me. I went back inside to see if I had somehow missed her.
