"She's in jail." What?? "So I have a sister in jail?" I yell. I'm not excited about this. AT ALL. "You thought it was a good idea to keep this from me?? Why?" I shout. I know I shouldn't scream at my mom, but she was annoying me right now.
"This is why I didn't want to tell you, Les! I knew you'd be emotionally scarred!" With that I run to my room and stomp up the stairs. I slam the door shut and search her name. There's a whole article on her! She robbed a store and vandalized a school!
"What the heck?? I don't want her to be my sister!" There had to be a mistake, she couldn't be my sister. All of a sudden I hear Kylie scream. Why is she screaming? Probably her hairpiece came out. "My sis is getting married!!" She says and I run downstairs.
"Mom? You're getting married??" She laughs and shakes her head. "No, Kylie was just joking. Ryan gave me a promise ring," she says. Once she says that, I realize that I don't want mom to get married. She's only twenty! And I don't want a dad.
"A promise ring? Does that mean you will get married?" I ask uncertain. "Maybe. We'll see," she says and I shrug my shoulders. After that we all watch Frozen. I know, it's old now. "Leslie, school starts up soon. Are you ready for 7th grade?" She asks. I nod, scooting up close to her. "I love you mom." I whisper. She looks at me with tears in her eyes.
"I love you too Leslie."
