Silverpaw woke up to the sound of soft rustling. He was still half asleep, his eyes feebly unable to open. He hesitated before looking up to the bushes to see what the sound was. Oakpaw, his littermate, was staring at the stars of this half moon. Oakpaw must've noticed Silverpaws gaze as he stared back and padded silently over to him. Oakpaw prodded Silverpaws head.
"Silverpelt. I've always wondered which one of those stars is Mosspaw." Oakpaw murmured.
Silverpaw sighed. "Shes gone..." He said shakily. "For all we know shes not up there. Remember the story of ferretfur?"
"Yeah. That was a dark tale. But that was a nursery story. Do you belive that a cat from Shadowclan would die and end up into the Dark Forest, then escape from the help of One eye, where then Shattered Ice lead him there only to find out he was in the ancient ancestors of pointed stones. Thats ridiculous!"
"Shattered Ice was from Thunderclan anyway! I did know he was in Windclan for a while when Gray wing sheltered there."
"Yeah," Oakpaw said. "Did he ever find his way back to starclan?"
"I am unsure. The tales have never gave a happy ending to that story." Answered Silverpaw unhappily. "I remember I asked for a story and after I heard about the story of Gray Wing and Thunder I was already super excited that I asked for more. That was then when I heard the story."
"Yeah," Oakheart waved out of any more about that topic. "Aren't we going to be make apprentices soon? Before the gathering?" Oakheart changed the topic.
"I don't know. Last time Rainstar made a warrior when they were twelve moons so I think... Yeah, we may be appointed warriors before the gathering. Thats what Rainstar did." Silverpaw said, unsure.
"Aren't apprentices apprenticed at 6 moons and warriors at 18?" Oakheart questioned.
"Somewhere around there. I don't know. Remember the Doestar situation?" Silverpaw asked.
"Yeah, it might be this," Oakheart murmured.
The entire conversation was set in a light whisper, careful enough not to wake up any cats. They both dove back to sleep in their dens.
