A/N: Trigger Warning
"Mr. Wilson, I can promise you that Joey is good hands." Lauren pleaded to the head of child services, as he inspected the house. "Perrie and Zayn already had it this way and we don't plan on changing it-"
"But you should." The man shrugged as he wrote down notes. "You can't have a four year old grow up and pass these hallways full of pictures of his deceased parents. It's just not appropriate."
"Y-You're right." Camila spoke up, "Lauren meant the house itself. We're going to start replacing and putting our own touch on things while we raise Joey."
"Tell me, how is little Joseph?" Mr. Wilson questioned the two nervous girls further. "I see that he quit hockey and is now joining a different sport under your super vision.."
"We are firm believers that he is smart enough to know what he does and does not like. We don't push him into anything he doesn't want to do." Lauren responded, still anxious with his decision.
They weren't informed about the head of child services coming over to the new home to inspect the place, but they made it as presentable as possible. It was nerve wracking at the thought of being separated from their godson, especially after creating such a strong bond with him over the course of the past 29 days. Tomorrow is when they would get their answer if they were suitable guardians.
"My team and I will drop by tomorrow," Mr. Wilson exited the door without another look back, making the girls twice as nervous.
"This wouldn't even be a problem if you didn't act so shady when the guy talked to us at the funeral" Camila turned to the green eyed girl. "Our names were written down but no, you just had to make us look unreliable and look what the hell just happened."
"You're just as much to blame, Cabello" Lauren rolled her eyes, walking back towards the kitchen.
They've gotten along ever since the night their neighbors came over. Well not entirely; they've had their fair share of arguments, but it ended up in a heated make out session either way.
They kept their little hook ups low-key, and whenever it's broad day light, they act like it's never happened. Out in public they would constantly be mistaken for a couple, or be complimented for having such a cute family together. It made things awkward, and their jealousy whenever they were with anyone else but each other was starting to show more and more.

"She's obnoxious," The taller girl rolled her eyes again. "Why are you still with her?"
"Because she makes good money and she's nice to me, and Joey." Camila shrugged as she changed into a cute club dress.
"What doctor takes a girl like you out on a date, to a club?"
"Hey lay off, Dinah isn't that bad. She's genuine and this is the first night that we both have time for each other." Camila flipped her hair before putting on lip gloss. She spotted Lauren through the mirror, laying on her bed with her weight on one elbow.
"So you guys are.. together?" Lauren pushed further.
"Do you have a problem with that?"
Lauren narrowed her eyes at the response she got. Usually this was the point where she would take control and have what people would call "hate sex", but it this situation, she was turned off at the thought of Dinah and Camila being together.
"No." The green eyed girl sat up, "Joey wanted a movie night with the three of us. He said he used to do it on the 28th of every month with Zayn and Perrie."
