The sun was setting behind the old trees that surrounded the Losers' Clubhouse, casting long shadows that danced across the wooden floor. Stanley Uris leaned back against the faded couch, still buzzing from the fun he'd just had with Viviana. The air was thick with the scent of pine and the distant echo of laughter that lingered from their earlier adventures.

"Can you believe how crazy the quarry was?" Stanley said his tone light as he recalled the thrill of their antics. Viviana had coaxed him into jumping off the highest rock into the shimmering water below. It had been terrifying yet exhilarating, and seeing her smile as they splashed into the cool depths had made it all worth it.

Viviana settled onto the other end of the couch, her hair damp and windswept, the remnants of daylight casting a golden glow. "I can. You were so scared at first! But once you jumped, it was like you transformed into a different person," she teased, her laughter filling the room like music.

Stanley chuckled, feeling a warmth bloom in his chest. "I guess I should thank you for that. You're like my own personal cheerleader—or maybe my crazed partner in crime."

"Hey, I'll take it!" she replied with a wink. They shared a comfortable silence for a moment, simply enjoying each other's presence. The worries of school, home, and the creeping sense of doom that often accompanied their lives in Derry seemed to fade away in that cozy little space.

"Do you think the others are going to show up soon?" Viviana asked, breaking the quiet. The clubhouse always felt more alive when all the Losers were together—Mike, Eddie, Richie, Ben, and Beverly—each bringing their unique energy into the mix.

"Probably. Eddie's probably out searching for supplies or something," Stanley said, recalling Eddie's obsessive nature. "He's been on a health kick lately, so we might not get any junk food tonight."

Viviana feigned a grimace. "No chips?! This is a travesty!"

They burst into laughter, and Stanley felt the tension in his muscles ease further. He always appreciated Viviana's ability to light up a room with her humor, even when they were facing their fears and struggles.

"Hey, Stanley," she said suddenly, her tone turning a bit more serious. "I enjoyed today. It's nice to just forget about everything for a while."

Stanley looked over at her, something about her expression making his heart skip. "Me too, Viv. I... I've been feeling a little overwhelmed lately, but hanging out with you helped."

Viviana smiled, her eyes sparkling. "You know, I think we could always use more moments like this. Just us against the world. It feels good."

Encouraged, Stanley took a deep breath. "I'd like that. And, um, maybe we can plan another day together? Just you and me?"

Viviana's smile widened, and a bright laugh escaped her lips. "I'd love that, Stanley! You better believe we're jumping off something even higher next time, though," she added with a cheeky grin.

"I'll have to get my courage ready," he replied, feeling a rush of warmth at the thought. Just then, the door swung open, and the familiar chaos of the Losers' Club erupted into the small clubhouse, with Mike and Richie leading the charge.

"Munchies are here!" Richie yelled, tossing a bag of chips into the air. "And we brought soda!"

As more laughter and chatter filled the room, Stanley caught Viviana's eye across the crowded clubhouse. At that moment, amidst the friends who were like family, he felt grateful for the little moments and the bond they shared. Today had been a reminder that despite whatever darkness lingered outside these walls, they had each other, and that made facing the world a little less daunting.
