Stanley Uris and Viviana were sprawled comfortably on her bedroom floor, surrounded by an array of snacks and the soft glow of fairy lights strung along the walls. The afternoon passed lazily, filled with laughter and the occasional pause as they shared their thoughts on school, friends, and their plans for the summer.

As they munched on some popcorn, Stanley suddenly turned the conversation toward something that had been on his mind. "You know, it feels like birthday season is upon us! Isn't your birthday in two months?" He grinned, proud of himself for keeping track of the birthdays in their friend group.

Viviana raised an eyebrow, a playful smirk forming on her lips. "Uh, Stan, no, my birthday was yesterday."

A moment of confusion washed over Stanley's face, and then realization hit him. "Wait, what? Are you serious?" His voice rose slightly in disbelief. "How did I forget that?"

"It's okay!" she reassured him, though a hint of mischief flickered in her eyes. "But it does mean you owe me some birthday cake. Even if it's a day late!"

Just then, Stanley's eyes widened as another thought struck him. "Oh, right! Richie's birthday is in two months! I got them mixed up!" He facepalmed dramatically. "He's going to want a party that'll require some planning."

Viviana burst out laughing, and just like that, their discussion spiraled into chaos. "We need to make it the best birthday ever for him!" she declared, her enthusiasm infectious. Stanley, caught up in the frenzy, whipped out his phone.

"Let's text the guys! It's time to brainstorm the ultimate surprise for Richie!" As he began to tap away on his phone, Viviana grabbed a piece of paper.

"Okay, let's list everything we need: decorations, cake, a ridiculous theme," she said as she scribbled furiously. "Oh! What if we do a 'Trash Mouth' theme? We can even get a 'dirt cake' to really lean into it!"

Stan caught on and laughed, "Perfect! We should have 'Trash Mouth T-shirts' made, too! And we'll make sure the cake has a ton of chocolate because we all know how much Richie loves chocolate."

Within minutes, their bedroom was filled with the sounds of brainstorming, ideas flowing faster than they could write them down. Just then, Stanley's phone pinged. It was a message from Eddie.

"What's up?" he texted.

Stanley quickly typed back, "Planning Richie's birthday! We need the best ideas—two months to prepare!"

The group chat erupted with responses: Mike suggested a scavenger hunt, Beverly chimed in with ideas for games, and Ben even threw in some suggestions for a potential surprise guest.

Yet in their excitement, they almost forgot the most crucial part: Viviana's birthday. As the chaos of planning took over, she couldn't help but smile, half amused and half exasperated, watching her friends completely derail the conversation.

"By the way, guys," she interrupted, laughing. "Are we really doing all of this and forgetting that I completely missed my birthday?"

Suddenly, Stanley froze mid-text. "Oh no! What have we done? Vivi, I promise, we'll celebrate you properly! Cake, presents, the whole nine yards!"

As laughter filled the room, Viviana couldn't help but feel warm inside. Amidst the chaos of planning for their boisterous friend, Stanley's genuine care reminded her that while birthdays may come and go, friendships like theirs were what truly mattered. They'd figure it all out, and this would be a birthday to remember, even if it wasn't precisely hers.
