. . .
Rugged and Barren; Thats what all you remember. Gently clasping your eyes shut, you felt the foreboding water wash over your damp and moist body. Hazy memories embedded with uncertainty bleaked throughout your unconscious head, as the world seemed to not stop going back and fourth. A stream of clear waters clogged your field of vision, as you struggled at opening your eye. Drowning by the seashore, you let out a coughed breath in sudden struggle. Exhaling a sharp hint of your ragged breathing, your eyes open much to your delight. You find yourself to be absentmindedly staring deep off towards the ocean, silently watching as the tranquil waters blend within its bitter darken hue.
You don't know how you ended up here.
Trying to remember what happend tend to hurt, as you have zero to none idea on how you ended up by the seashore in the first place. Grumbling off by your soaked body, you muster all your remaining strength on standing up straight. By to no one's suprise, your legs wobbled and failed to form a standing stance. Your knees brushed at the sandy texture of the shore, as your head prickled in immense pain. Groaning at your frail body, you let yourself lean on the nearest thing around you.
Tugging at your weak body, your eyes squeezed shut in pain. Your head enveloped with dull, empty thoughts. Leaning in before the rock, you heard a disembodied voice coming from somewhere. Your head snapped at the direction of where the meek voice is. "E-excuse me—" The quiet voice came from a child, standing before you as her eyes shined through the blinding sun, carrying packs of onigiri by her grasp.
"—Are you alright?" She leaned in more in your trembling figure, as you opened your mouth to speak, but nothing came out much to your dismay. The girl looked through you worriedly, as you just gently smiled at her. "Im fine, where are we?" you asked, looking further and further throughout the scenery.
The girl's lips trembled into a thin line, as you gazed at her from below, confusion etching your features. "Were at Shell's town," she murmured underneath her breath, as her tiny finger's point out the towering Marine base up above. Ah, so that's what it is about. You nodded off to her seemingly cryptic message, as she handled the onigiri gently by her hands.
"What's your name?" you blurted out, as the girls head looked at you in awe. Pausing for a slight second, "My name's Rika." she smiled, as her lips curved upwards willingly, you nodded at the hearing of her name, as it seems like its Rika's turn now to ask you a question instead. "What about you big sister? What's your name?" you let out an airy laughter by the nickname of the kid, as you smiled in delight. "Big sister...? Well, that's new."
"My name..." You wondered off, as it seems that anytime you recall something that came from the past seems to hurt your head. A deep blank space could only form inside your mind, as there was no thought on what your name was really is. You shaked off your slurring thoughts, as Rika eyed you curiously. "Forget about it!" a nerveous smile shaked up on your lips, as the girl rose her brow at the message. "How about you name me instead?"
