All I am is a man
I want the world in my hands
I hate the beach
But I stand, in California with my toes in the sand
Use the sleeves of sweater
Let's have an adventure
Head in the clouds but my gravity centered
Touch my neck, and I'll touch yours
You and those little high-waisted shorts, oh

Cause it's too cold whoa
For you here
And now, so let me hold whoa
Both your hands in the holes of my sweater.

𝐈 𝐋𝐀𝐘 𝐎𝐍 𝐌𝐘 stomach on top of the pink duvet. I had my headphones listening to Sweater Weather by The Neighborhood. There are a few songs that I listen to especially Artic Monkeys. Those are my top two artists. I moved the yellow colored pencil against the sheet of paper coloring in the flower I drew. I hummed the tune swinging my legs back and forth, liking the peace.

I paused the music thinking I heard a tap on my window. I moved the headphones again listening for the sound.

There was another tap on the window before I was moving from my bed opening the window sill. " Oww," I whined in pain as the little pebble struck me on my forehead. " Oh! Sorry Thea" Elena exclaimed holding a hand towards her mouth.

" Why are you throwing pebbles at my window?" I asked Elena. Why couldn't she just use the front door like everyone else? " I didn't want to wake up your mom so I thought this was best," she told me. I stared at her confused about why she couldn't just call or send a text or knock on my front door.

I giggled laughing at the girl. " Well silly, since you're here now. What can I help you with?" Leaning over the window but not too much that I won't fall.

" I need your help with something, but it requires us to go the masquerade ball" she explained to me. " Okay" I agreed, " Just let me get my jacket and shoes and I'll meet you at the front door," I told Elena before shutting my window and closing my white sheer curtains.

I threw on a light jacket and slipped on a pair of blue flats that matched my top. I grabbed my phone and anything else I needed before walking downstairs to meet Elena at the front door. " Thanks, Thea this means a lot" I opened to door to Elena thanking me, all the anxiety slightly leaving her face.

I shook my head saying it was okay, as we were headed towards the ball. When we got there there were a lot of people in pretty dresses and suits I would've loved to have gone but I wasn't feeling it maybe next year. Elena grabbed my hand weaving our way through the car before we made it inside weaving our way through people.

" Elena? Thea! What are you doing here?!" Bonnie exclaimed grabbing Elena's hand which was intertwined with Thea's pulling her along. " Thea doesn't know about the supernatural Elena we all agreed she wouldn't be caught dead near any of it" Bonnie whispered so I couldn't hear their conversation, I wondered what they were talking about.
