"A promise is a promise, Elijah," his father's voice echoed in his mind. "You'll do what's best for the family, no matter the cost."
Elijah's eyes burned with resentment. He was trapped in a world of secrets and lies, forced to hide his true self.
As he turned to leave, a faint whisper seemed to carry on the wind: "Ava..."
Elijah's heart skipped a beat. Who was Ava? And why did her name stir something deep within him?
Shrugging off the feeling, Elijah descended into the darkness, the shadows swallowing him whole.
