Elijah point of view

I watched Ava walk away, feeling like I'd just torn out my own heart. I couldn't involve her in my family's twisted games.

But I couldn't shake off the memory of her words: "I care about you."

No one had ever said that to me before. No one had ever looked at me with such kindness.

As I stood there, frozen, my phone buzzed. A text from my father:

"Elijah, you're running out of time. Meet me at the estate tonight."

My gut twisted with dread. I knew what he wanted – my surrender.

I arrived at the estate, the shadows cast by the flickering torches seeming to writhe like living things.

My father's eyes narrowed. "You're still seeing that girl, Ava."

I clenched my jaw. "She's none of your concern."

"Everyone is my concern," he sneered. "And Ava Moreno is no exception."

A chill ran down my spine. What did he plan for Ava?

"I'll take care of her," I growled, trying to protect her.

My father's smile sent ice through my veins. "Oh, I think we'll take care of her together."

Let me know, and I'll proceed with Chapter 5!

(Note: I'll switch back to Ava's POV next chapter,
unless you request otherwise).
