Lion Guard: March of the Demons

Back in the Outlands

Back in the Outlands the army's leadership went to the volcano to provide a status report on their mission to annex Ndefu Grove. When Scar who was in the form of a fire spirit, heard that the mission was a failure he was furious that his army lost to the Lion Guard again, while his army did had their fare share of victories, there were times that they lost but wasn't just that which made Scar frustrated but also that his army lost to a group of five kids: The Lion Guard.

"The Lion Guard defeated you again!" Shouted Scar as flames rose to indicate his rage while Janja, Reirei and Mzingo cower in fear while Kiburi remained stoic. "I honestly cannot understand how you, an army of fierce and savage animals in a wasteland, can lose to children of all animals!"

"Well... I g-guess they are... p-probably that go-good." Said Janja shaking in fear and embarrassment. "After all this isn't the first time we lost to them."

"I'm well aware of that Janja." Said Scar as he grimaced with disappointment. "It makes me wonder how any of you, excluding Kiburi and his float, are still alive at all when you have nothing to survive other than what you scavenge in the Outlands."

"Well it's not our fault the guard is always one step of the way." Said Reirei playing her innocent card.

"Your right, it's yours." Said Scar as he glared at his commanders. "Despite your will to give into the Lion Guard, you haven't put up much of a fight against them based on your experience in a harsh environment and the age difference between you and the guard. In fact I'm starting to believe if you Steven fighting to your full potential-"

However Scar was interrupted by a voice that only he can hear telepathically. Janja, Reirei, Kiburi, Mzingo and Ushari notice this and it looked a little weird.

"Well it is partly done, but due to complicated circumstances the plan has been delayed much longer than expected." Said Scar quietly outloud. "You do? This should be beneficial."

"Um Scar who are you talking too?" Asked Janja skeptically as he looked up at Scar. "Other than us, there isn't anyone here."

"If it was of importance to you then I would have told you!" Shouted Scar as he glared his commanders. "For now you five are dismissed. You can go back to your homes in the Outlands."

"Really Scar?" Asked Ushari in skepticism. "Why dismiss us so suddenly?"

"If it was important to you then I would have told you Ushari." Said Scar as he glared. "Wouldn't I?"

"You make a good point Scar." Said Ushari as he simply nodded. "We'll leave right now."

"We are?" Asked Janja while Reirei, Kiburi, Mzingo and Ushari glared at him for his statement. This cause Janja to feel highly embarrassed so he put on a smart façade. "I mean we are. Of course we are see you later guys."

With that Janja speed walked out of the volcano ahead of Reirei, Kiburi, Mzingo and Ushari, who only left soon after Janja was gone from the volcano's interior. Scar on the other hand remained in the volcano to speak with the voice he can solely listen to.

"Okay, now that they are gone tell me what you are doing next?" Asked Scar. The voice told him what he was going to do next. "You plan to come here? When will you arrive?"

Meanwhile, Janja, Reirei, Kiburi and Mzingo went to their respective homes in the Outlands, while Ushari stayed in a private place in the volcano.
