The mansion was silent as Taehyung carried Tysha inside, his arms wrapped protectively around her. The rain had soaked them both, and droplets continued to slide down his jaw as he laid her gently on the couch. His gaze softened, lingering on her, and for a fleeting moment, the hard lines of his face faded into something almost tender.

“You’re not going anywhere, Tysha,” he said, his voice low and resolute, a quiet declaration.

She swallowed, a strange ache in her chest as her heart hammered. “What are we doing, Taehyung?”

He paused, eyes locking onto hers. “Sometimes, it’s not about what we’re doing. It’s about... needing someone in a way you can’t control.”

She felt the weight of his words settle over her, tugging at something deep inside. For the first time, she could see beyond his cold exterior, glimpsing the conflict beneath. A vulnerability.

Before she could respond, there was a sudden knock on the door, shattering the stillness. Taehyung’s face hardened instantly, his grip on her hand tightening briefly.

“Stay here,” he commanded, his tone back to that familiar, unyielding edge. He turned and walked swiftly to the door, leaving her behind. Her curiosity burned, but she forced herself to remain seated, ears straining to catch the muffled exchange on the other side of the door.

She caught only fragments of low voices, tense and urgent. The exchange was brief, and Taehyung soon shut the door, his expression unreadable as he returned to the room.

“Who was it?” she asked cautiously.

“It’s nothing you need to worry about,” he replied, brushing past her question as if it hadn’t even been asked. "Get some rest, Tysha. Tomorrow is... a new beginning."

There was something dark in his gaze, something that sent a chill down her spine. But before she could press him further, he turned, heading for the door. Her hand instinctively reached out, stopping him.

“Taehyung, please,” she whispered, her voice barely audible. “I need to understand... who you really are.”

He looked down at her, his eyes shadowed, caught in a moment of internal struggle. She could see the hesitation, the fear—the part of him that wanted to let her in, even if he didn’t say it.

“Maybe one day, Tysha,” he murmured, his voice dropping to a whisper. “But you might not like what you find.”

With that, he pulled away, leaving her alone in the dimly lit room. As the door clicked shut, an unsettling silence fell around her.

Tysha sat in the darkness, her thoughts swirling as she replayed his words. There was a heavy weight pressing down on her heart—a feeling that something deeper was lying beneath the surface, waiting to be unearthed.

Just as she was about to retire to her room, she noticed something on the floor by the door. A small slip of paper, half-crumpled, left by whoever had knocked earlier.

Heart pounding, she reached down and picked it up, unfolding it carefully. The handwriting was rough, hurried, but the words were clear, sending an icy wave of dread through her veins:

"He isn’t who you think he is. If you value your life, leave before it’s too late.”

The message hung in the air, a warning—one that left her breathless and filled with questions. She could still feel the warmth of Taehyung’s embrace, the weight of his words... but now, there was something else mixed in.

Fear.

Her fingers tightened around the paper, her heart racing as she glanced toward the door where Taehyung had disappeared. Slowly, she noticed another small note crumpled under the edge of the couch. She picked it up, her pulse racing as she read the second warning:

“There are things he hasn’t told you. Shadows from his past. Watch closely.”

The words sent a chill down her spine. Could Taehyung truly be hiding more than he had let on? And who was leaving these warnings? Her thoughts spiraled, mixing with the memory of his tenderness, his hesitation—his struggle.

What had she just gotten herself into?

The storm outside had finally stopped, but Tysha knew that the true storm was just beginning.
