Tysha walked down the hallway, her mind still swirling with unanswered questions. The weight of the slip of paper, the warning, and the unsettling distance between her and Taehyung were too much to process. Every step she took seemed to echo in the quiet mansion, as if her footsteps were leading her deeper into a maze of confusion and suspicion.

She froze when she heard voices.

Eunji’s soft laugh, Taehyung’s low response—she couldn't place it, but there was something... familiar. Something too intimate. Without thinking, she stepped closer to the living room, her eyes narrowing as she peeked through the crack in the door.

What she saw stopped her cold.

Taehyung was standing there, his back against the wall as Eunji, much too close for comfort, was leaning toward him. Her hand was on his arm, and her voice was gentle as she spoke, almost too gentle.

"I really hope she doesn’t find out about this," Eunji was saying, her voice laced with concern. "Taehyung, do you think it’s the right time?"

Tysha’s breath hitched. It felt like the world had tilted on its axis.

Taehyung gave a soft, almost imperceptible nod. "It’s the only way, Eunji. She’ll understand eventually. Just... make sure everything is ready."

Tysha’s heart skipped a beat. The way they spoke, the way they stood so close—she could see it now, the flicker of something that felt like... affection. The warmth in Taehyung’s eyes, the subtle tilt of Eunji’s head. It didn’t look like a simple conversation. It looked like something much more.

Tysha felt her pulse quicken. She had seen enough.

Without thinking, she turned on her heel, her heart pounding in her chest. Her mind screamed at her to leave, to forget what she had just witnessed. But the image of Eunji’s hand on Taehyung’s arm, the way they looked at each other, lingered in her mind like an unshakable weight.

She couldn’t shake the feeling that she had just stumbled upon something she wasn’t supposed to see.

As she made her way back down the hallway, she was startled by a voice from behind her.

"Tysha?"

It was Taehyung. He stood at the top of the stairs, his face unreadable, his eyes dark.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, his voice low and controlled.

Tysha swallowed hard, forcing herself to stand tall despite the overwhelming flood of emotions threatening to break through. She didn’t trust herself to speak, but she couldn’t let him see how much the scene had shaken her.

"I—I was just... I was looking for you," she managed to say, her voice barely above a whisper.

Taehyung took a step forward, his eyes narrowing slightly. "Looking for me?" His gaze flickered toward the direction of the living room, the place she had just left. "What did you hear, Tysha?"

She froze. Did he know? Was he aware of what she had seen?

"I didn’t hear anything," she lied, forcing a calm she didn’t feel. "But I saw something... something that doesn't make sense."

Taehyung’s eyes hardened, but his expression remained carefully controlled. "You should stay away from things you don’t understand."

Tysha felt her chest tighten at his words. His tone was cold, dismissive. It wasn’t the first time he had brushed her off, but this time felt different. This time, something in his eyes was hard—something unyielding.

"I understand enough," she retorted, her voice a little stronger now, though it shook with a mix of anger and hurt. "I saw the way you and Eunji were... talking. Touching. It didn’t look like just a conversation to me."

A flicker of surprise passed over Taehyung’s face, but it was gone so quickly that Tysha wasn’t sure she’d seen it at all. His expression darkened, and he took another step toward her, his presence imposing.

"It’s none of your business," he said, his voice low and controlled, but there was a sharpness to it. "You don’t know anything."

Tysha’s heart raced, the raw intensity of his words piercing through her. She wanted to scream, to demand the truth, but something in his gaze made her hesitate. Was he lying? Or was she just reading too much into it?

Before she could respond, Eunji stepped out from behind Taehyung, her eyes scanning Tysha with an unreadable expression.

"Everything okay here?" Eunji asked, her voice light but edged with something Tysha couldn’t quite place.

Tysha couldn’t look at her, not without feeling that knot of suspicion in her gut. She turned away, unable to mask the hurt in her eyes.

"Fine," she muttered, her voice tight. "I just thought... I thought you two were—"

She stopped herself, not sure what exactly she had thought. But the way Taehyung and Eunji had looked at each other... the way they had been standing so close... It had felt wrong.

"Tysha, listen to me," Taehyung said, his voice suddenly softer, almost pleading. "You don’t know the whole story."

"I don’t need to know," she replied sharply, her voice trembling with the intensity of her emotions. "I saw enough."

And with that, she turned and stormed off, her mind a whirlwind of confusion and anger.

She didn’t want to feel this way. She didn’t want to mistrust Taehyung, not after everything they had been through. But the sight of him with Eunji—there was something about it that she couldn’t ignore.

As Tysha retreated to her room, the door slamming shut behind her, she felt a sickening knot form in her stomach. Her heart told her that something was terribly wrong. She just didn’t know what it was yet.

Taehyung’s words echoed in her mind: You don’t know anything.

But the question that kept haunting her was this: What exactly didn’t she know?

The door clicked shut, and with it, the world outside seemed to fade into darkness. The silence was deafening, but Tysha couldn’t shake the feeling that it wasn’t the silence that was truly unsettling—it was what lay hidden beneath it.
