(I've been wanting to write this for a long time, please enjoy! Also, just to make this not incredibly illegal, all the characters are juniors in high school.)
________________________________You sighed and tapped your fingers against the glass of your car window. Another new town. With new people. Translation: unappealing. This happened a lot with your family. You were constantly moving around, and just when you thought you had settled in, you move again. It was a vicious cycle you couldn't get out of.
"What's the matter, (Y/N)?" Your mother asked.
"Oh, nothing," You replied curtly. "It's just that this is the fifth time this has happened. When can we finally stop moving around?" You breathed on the window, fogging it up, and drew a little cat.
"I don't know, (Y/N). After your father left I had to keep moving for a job, it's how we make money, I'm doing this-"
"-For the family, I know! You say that every time! And every time I try to look at the bright side of things, just like you tell me, but it's hard! I've left all of my friends, my teachers, everything behind five times now! When will it end?" You wiped your cat off of the window and turned to your mom. She had tears in her eyes.
"I... I... I'm sorry, (Y/N)." Both of you fell silent.
"Me too." You let your eyes fall to your lap.
"I know this isn't your fault. I need some fresh air." You said quietly. You looked at your mom. She had a slight smile.
"That's okay, honey. We're almost there, hold on and you can go take a walk around the neighborhood." She turned a corner and drove to the end of a street, pulled into a driveway, and turned off the car.
"The movers will be here in an hour. Does that give you enough time?" She said, turning to you.
"Yeah, thanks mom." You opened the car door and slipped out into the crisp afternoon air. This town was pretty cold, even if it was April (I'm in California. We don't have winter. Sorry if I get the weather a little weird.). You pulled on your favorite beanie and hoodie and tromped off into your new living situation.
The town was sleepy-a few people were out, but besides that the town was silent. You let out a foggy breath and turned a corner only to be smashed into.
"Ow!!" You screamed as you fell hard back onto the sidewalk. You had been knocked into an eagle-sprawled position.
"Oh, Jesus!! I didn't see you!! Are you okay?!" A boy in a green hat with curly red hair sticking out at odd angles and an orange and green jacket was sitting a foot away from you rubbing his head.
"Yeah... Ow... God..." You slowly lifted yourself into a sitting position. The red head leapt up and brushed himself off quickly before offering his hand to help you up. You took it and were lifted to your feet.
"I'm really sorry, I'm not really sure what my hurry was! I don't think I've seen you around here before. I'm Kyle Broflovski." He shook the hand he had taken in helping you up.
"(Y/N) (L/N). Sorry about the first impression." You said, giving him a slight smile. He smiled back. He still hadn't let go of your hand.
"No, you're fine. I-" Kyle was cut off by a loud muffled yell.
"Oh, jeez..." Kyle mumbled. A boy in a full orange parka zipped all the way up to his nose so only two blue eyes were shown and orange sweatpants came jogging up behind Kyle.
"Kyle... What... The hell?! Why were you running so fast?!" The orange parka boy stopped and put his hands on his knees, panting.
"I really want to see Stan's new game." Kyle said, turning to the boy. He still had a grip on your hand.
"Yeah, but you didn't have to-" The orange parka boy paused and stared at you.
"Who's this?" He said quietly.
"Oh, uh, Kenny, (Y/N) (L/N). (Y/N), Kenny." Kenny looked at your still locked hands.
"Are you guys..?" Kenny slowly looked up at you.
"No!" You said quickly, pulling your hand out of Kyle's grasp. He seemed a little disappointed to let go of you.
"Cool." Kenny took of his hood to reveal a head of blonde hair. He smirked and said quietly, "Fresh meat." Kyle's eyes widened.
"No, Kenny..."
Kenny stepped towards you, slid his arm around your waist, laced his fingers with yours and pulled you towards him.
"I'm Kenny McCormick. Welcome to South Park, beautiful." You were too shocked to say or do anything.
"Kenny, she seems nice, I don't want to get on her bad side..." Kyle put his hand on Kenny's shoulder but Kenny shrugged him off.
"When I first saw you I thought you were an angel, girl. I need you." Kenny leaned his face in towards yours.
"Kenny dressed in women's clothing for a month!" Kyle called out. Kenny froze. His face turned bright red. He ripped away from you and charged at Kyle.
"I WAS 10 YEARS OLD!!!" Kyle sidestepped and let Kenny smash into a tree.
"I apologize for him. He's the playboy." Kyle smiled wearily. Kenny dazedly walked away from the tree he hit with a slight nosebleed.
"You're... upset... because I get... more pussy... than you..." Kenny leaned on Kyle for support and held his hand to his bleeding nose.
"One drop of blood on my coat, Kenny, and I swear..." Kyle looked menacingly at Kenny. You giggled. Both the boys turned to face you.
"You... You guys are weird!" Your giggle turned into a laugh. Kyle blushed and rubbed the back of his neck. Kenny walked forwards and took both of your hands in his.
"Your laugh is so beautiful, it-" Kenny was cut off by Kyle pulling him by the back of the parka.
"Come on, gaywad. We've got a place to be. We'll see you later, (Y/N)! It was really nice meeting you!" Kyle smiled and waved.
"Really nice." Kenny winked at you. You rolled your eyes and waved at the two. Maybe this town wouldn't be so bad. You already met two guys that seemed pretty nice, even if they were weird. Though you were a girl, you had the tendency to hang out with boys. Maybe because you were a little tougher than most girls and less feminine, perhaps, but befriending boys seemed to come easy to you and they always made good friends. So two nice guys and potential friends to show up, that was nice. You walked around the block a few times thinking about how funny the two boy's antics were before returning home. Your mom was on the phone with her boss when you walked inside. You walked upstairs and found all of the boxes the movers had on your floor, and your furniture in place. You began to unpack. Tomorrow was your first day at your new high school. Hopefully you could see those guys again and make a few new friends.
(I feel accomplished, I did something today!! I wrote fanfiction. Where is my life going.)
