With graceful precision, she maneuvered through the writhing bodies moving towards the edge of the terrace compelled by her curiosity.

The moonlight swallowed by the eclipse, all she could see beyond the terrace is an impenetrable and endless darkness.

Yet, through the thick blackness, she could clearly hear the relentless screams—cries of pain, agony, anger, fear, and a cacophony of other complex emotions.

As she strained to peer through the void, the magic crystals placed meticulously around the ritual circle's perimeter began to glow faintly with a sinister red hue.

Simultaneously, the hive members' chanting grew in intensity, their voices resonating in eerie harmony.

The song reverberated through the air, amplifying the power of the ritual and causing the crystals to flare brighter.

The faint red light spread, slowly piercing the darkness, revealing the grim scene below.

(Unison Chant by All Hive Members)

Sera's eyes opened wide in shock as the scene that unfolded was beyond anything she could have imagined.

The magic circle encompassed an area of staggering proportions, so vast that a portion of the forest beyond the castle had been razed in order to etch the intricate runes into the earth. The entire castle, grand as it was, occupied only a small arc within the colossal circle.

On this immense ritual site, strategically positioned within the complex geometric patterns, stood towering stone stelae. Their surfaces were inscribed with arcane symbols, each one pulsating with sinister energy. These ancient monoliths acted as conduits for the ritual's power, amplifying and channeling it through the circle.

But it was the people that truly stole her breath—at least a hundred thousand, if not more—fully immersed in their carnal dance as they sang the arcane song. They chanted in a low, guttural tongue, their voices merging into a haunting, otherworldly chorus that sent chills down Sera's spine. The sound reverberated through the night air, a maddening drone that seemed to reach deep into her soul, clawing at the edges of her sanity.

In the vast, open field beneath the eclipsed sky, thousands of people had gathered, their bodies intertwined with each other in a massive orgy, a grotesque display of carnality and ritual.

Naked bodies moved and writhed together in a dance of hedonism. Groups formed and dissolved, with no boundaries or limitations. The sheer number of participants created a pulsating energy that seemed to electrify the air.

As the ritual progressed, the orgy reached a fever pitch. Bodies were everywhere, entangled in a mass of limbs and flesh.

The entire area of the magic circle is filled with bodies having sex. It is like a massive snake's nest during the mating season. It is nearly impossible to discern which body belongs to who. Which limb belongs to whom.

It was a carnal dance of darkness, a macabre ballet performed under the watchful eye of the eclipsed blood moon.

Sera felt a cold knot of anxiety tighten in her chest.

"Just how many people are here?" Sera gulped, the sheer number of people is something Sera never imagined. The magnitude of the ritual is staggering.

A massive, pulsating barrier of magic encircled it all. The energy radiating from it was palpable, causing goosebumps. The barrier extended as far as she could see, an ominous, glowing dome with a large portion of its upper area open to allow the light of the eclipsed red moon and stars to fall on the circle. It sealed the land within it, trapping all in its malevolent grasp.
