As you meandered through the opulent hotel corridors, the sound of your gentle humming echoed softly off the grandeur that surrounded you. The gleaming marble floors stretched out before you, impeccably polished to the point where they mirrored the exquisite chandeliers that hung majestically from the ceiling, casting a warm and inviting ambiance throughout the spacious foyer. The atmosphere was one of sophistication and comfort, a blend of luxury and homeliness that was perfectly suited to the occasion.

It was at this moment, as you were lost in thought, that Charlotte and Vagghe materialized before you. Their expressions were a curious blend of hope and earnestness, a silent testament to the importance of the request they were about to make. "Y/N," Charlotte began, her voice suffused with a palpable excitement that was hard to ignore, "Would you do us the favor of accompanying us to the sky lounge?" She clutched her hands tightly in a gesture that spoke volumes about her desire for your company, her eyes sparkling with the anticipation of your response. "Please," she continued with an endearing smile, "just this one time."

You couldn't help but feel a touch of warmth at her eagerness, and you reached out to gently pat her head in a display of affection. "My dear Charlotte, I'm truly sorry," you began, a soft smile playing upon your lips, "but I'm afraid I'm not at liberty to join you today. I have a rather important engagement with the board members that I simply can't miss." There was a touch of regret in your tone, as you knew how much it meant to her.

Her countenance fell slightly, but she quickly rallied, nodding her understanding. "Alright," she conceded, a small sigh escaping her lips. "But you have to promise me you'll be home later, okay?" she requested, her voice holding onto a thread of hopefulness.

With an affectionate nod, you leaned down to kiss her forehead. "Of course, sweetheart. I'll be waiting for you both when you return," you assured her, the promise in your eyes unwavering. You then turned to Vagghe, mirroring the same tender gesture before you straightened up and addressed them both. "Now, remember to be safe and enjoy yourselves," you said, your tone a blend of care and admonition.

As the two of them turned to leave, the sound of their retreating footsteps seemed to carry with it a sense of disappointment that tugged at your heartstrings. But you had responsibilities that needed attending to, and the promise of a meeting with the enigmatic Vox and his entourage of less-than-savory characters was not something to be taken lightly.

Just as you were about to step into the elevator, Alastor appeared with his signature flamboyance. "Ah, I couldn't help but overhear your little rendezvous," he quipped, his eyes gleaming with curiosity and a hint of something more playful. "So, you're meeting with Vox and his band of merry demons, are you?"

Laughing good-naturedly, you playfully nudged his shoulder with yours. "Alastor, you sly fox," you responded, the twinkle in your eye matching his own. "Yes, it's true, but I'm afraid I'll have to face this one alone," you added with a wink, knowing full well that his interest was piqued.
