A story of how I developed a relationship with dinosaurs.

Here is an extract from my unpublished novel 'Dinosaur Girl' which precedes my 'Deeper Realms' series, available on Amazon Kindle. The novel follows anxious paleontologist Eve Wells, recruited by mysterious time traveler Ravenna Friere, to use her knowledge of prehistoric animals to identify a creature terrorizing a Siberian dig site. In all honesty, I wrote this scene at least a year before the very excellent 'Rosa' episode of Dr Who, in which Jodie Whittaker's eponymous character makes a quip regarding a certain anarchic British street artist - and so I can firmly say, Ravenna got there first, and that any similarities are literally parallel evolution of a time traveling idea! Kendra is a fierce-willed, stubborn, proud girl with an ego hidden in her mind from others. When she and everyone else she knows is transported to another world where shape shifters rule, she becomes overly determined to show off herself. Especially to her crush, who seems to be falling for a felid. With the newly given power of shape-shifting, she is determined to get him back, despite being separated, and she goes on a quest to find him and claim him. But first she must survive through the troubles she faces in her genus as a mysterious assassin sets out to kill her. Soon, she meets a group of boys transported to the new dimension with her, exiled from their genus's and plotting to exact their revenge. Finished with her journey, she finds out that a supposedly non-existent race of shifters begin to appear. One boy gets lost through time and wound up in a destined fate that connects him more than he realizes. Together with the D-Team they go head to head with the Alpha Gang to save dinosaurs and other prehistoric beasts from an unfortunate torture and imprisonment on Zeta Point.
