"You were supposed to be here hours ago, Lauren.....this is the third time you did this mess this month....I'm tired of this.....mhm......yeah, love you too bye." She spoke, mumbling the last words to her obviously, drunk girlfriend.
She hangs up the phone and starts to think to herself, about why this always seems to happen to her, hoping for the other girl to get her act together. She had only wished to see her girlfriend as much as she needed and wanted too; started to regret the job situations between the two as it's clearly affecting them that they don't spend as much time together as they used too. Her and Lauren's relationship has been through its high and lows although she wonders if this is one of those lowest points.
Dinah exhaled a breath she didn't know she held in then takes the last sip of her wine and sets the glass on top of the marble counter in the kitchen and slowly makes her way to the dining room while shaking her head.
I wanna play this for you all the time
I wanna play this for you when you're feeling used and tired
I wanna make the best of you and more
She grasped her cell phone in her hand; silently curses under her breath and runs her fingers through hair. The young woman sets the phone down on the couch before she plops down; she then takes the remote, turns the television on, and scrolls through the channels.
She knew she stayed up late nights usually, in hopes, of spending the little time with Lauren, her longtime girlfriend before they go off their own ways the next day due to work. Their busy work schedule conflicts with the two of spending time as a couple. The other girl promised a date night for the both of them several hours before. About an hour ago, Dinah knew that Lauren had probably forget about the planned date night and went somewhere other than home. But by the time she actually saw the time, she ultimately knew the girl had made a stop at the bar for some drinks.
Dinah hated when the other woman had gotten to drink, at a time like this, considering that her alcohol intolerance was really low and once she had a drink, she doesn't know where her limits are.
Just let me in your arms
Just let me in your arms
3 am, A couple of hours had passed, the younger woman was sound asleep while waiting for her lover. The front door of the condo is slightly opening, and then moments later; it's slapped shut surprisingly causing the somewhat, intoxicated girl to giggle.
"Haha that was loud." Lauren said, while slurring her words a bit and hiccup in the process.
The older woman of the two walked staggeringly, swaying a bit little, as she was humming quietly hoping to keep her balance in check. But that didn't seem to work when she bumped into a small table; which then made a ceramic vase fall to the ground and break; shattering into many pieces. Dinah was later than awaked by the sound and lazily begin to sit up, from her place on the couch.
I'll be the magic you won't ever see
You can always rely on me
To help you do what you want to do
I wanna be the best you've ever known
Dinah opens her mouth to speak, "Well, look who decided to show up and make a grand entrance." She slowly rolls her eyes and Lauren shakily smirks and look across the room at the sleepy girl and makes her way to the girl.
"I missed youuu lovely." Lauren says, in a low-raspier voice. The presumed, drunken woman slugs her arms over to the other girl and hugs her tightly while peppering light kisses to her face.
