Shawn's POV:

"So I met this girl dude. I mean, yeah I meet girls a lot but...this one... I don't know. I think she's gorgeous. She makes my heart skip a beat." I gushed to my best friend Kyle as we walked home from school.

"Ahh it looks like Shawn has a little crush on a girl. Wonder how long they'll last!" replied Kyle with a wink .

"Seriously Kyle she's probably one of the prettiest girls I've ever seen and trust me, I've seen a LOT of girls. There's j-" I was interrupted by Kyle.

"There's just something about her yada yada yada. That's what all the players say, Shawn. You don't even want a committed relationship right now anyways you literally just said that like last week." he laughed.

"Yes I know but I mean... come on okay once you see her you'll understand what I mean." I nodded off. Kyle agreed to seeing her, and I couldn't wait to show her to him the next day.

The next morning, I got up, threw on a collared shirt and khakis, which I NEVER wear. Never. I really wanted Kaitlyn to be impressed so I dressed nicely. I half walked/ half nervously strutted to Kyle's house, eager for the day to come. He opened the door and called to his mom to let her know he was leaving. We started to walk quietly, but the silence was broken when Kyle asked why I was wearing a formal outfit. "I didn't have any more clean clothes." I lied.

As we neared the school, I prepared myself. I looked around for Kaitlyn, and after what seemed like forever, I spotted her. She was standing alone near the front office, waiting for the first bell since she had nobody to hang out with. I pointed to her. "That's the girl bro." I whispered to Kyle. Kyle turned around and his eyes widened as he saw her.

"Holy idkemenfkffkmdsl (that was me trying to resemble mumbling oops) Shawn she's gorgeous. I wouldn't mind getting a piece of that." He said with a smirk.

"Kyle shut up. You know she's mine, or... will be." I tried to picture Kaitlyn with me. I imagined us as an unstoppable couple, we could be so great together. I stopped day dreaming when I noticed Kyle was no longer standing next to me, but was standing next to Kaitlyn. She had a wide smile on her face and was laughing quite hard. Gosh her smile was so cute and her laugh... oh gosh her laugh was even cuter.

"Aye yo Shawn, come over here!" Kyle motioned for me to join them in their conversation. Kaitlyn and I made eye contact and I gave her a little smile, and she smiled back. I told myself that she wasn't going to be just some girl to hook up with, and I wasn't lying.
