Thirty-Two

"Is at Leesa's house!" Melody screamed as Gabriel turned into the driveway. "Let me out, Daddy!"

She wiggled around in her car seat, trying to unfasten her buckles.

"Melody."

"Daddy." She echoed, giggling as she put her window down, losing interest in her buckle.

He locked the windows and turned to his beautiful baby girl.

Today was a special surprise for her.

Jaleesa would be the best part of the surprise, as his little girl grew to love her more and more as they spent time together.

"Jaleesa is coming with us. No need to jump out of your seat, little lady." He unfastened his seatbelt. "We're going to meet her at the door and then we'll leave. Okay?"

Melody nodded, raising her hands to give him easy access to her buckles.

Smart little angel.

He got out of the truck and went to Melody's side.

"There goes my Mel Mel," He made a silly face, making her giggle.

"Der goes my Daddy Daddy!" She kissed his cheek as he carried her to the door. "I love you, Daddy,"

He wasn't sure how his heart made it. Melody's love was so precious. His innocent baby.

She began to squirm in his arms as they waited at the door. "Leesaaaaaa!" She sang hitting the door with her tiny hand.

The door opened and Melody screamed.

"Hi, Melody!" Jaleesa beamed at the adorable little girl. "Hi, Gabriel," Her sweet smile widened as he kissed her cheek.

Melody looked down at her dress and at Jaleesa's.

"D-daddy," She whispered in confusion and awe.

Jaleesa giggled.

"Leesa has my dress,"

Gabriel nodded. "She wanted to match today and be beautiful with you," He told her gently, making her lips quiver, surprising them.

Her big green eyes overflowed with tears and she cried softly, squeezing Gabriel's neck.

"Oh my," Jaleesa pouted as tears stung her eyes. "Melody,"

Gabriel soothingly rubbed Melody's back. "It's okay, Mel. Let it out, baby love. Big emotions can be overwhelming," He cooed as her sobs quieted. "How do you feel, baby?"

Pulling away from his neck, she sniffed. "I-i is so happy,"

Jaleesa wanted to melt.

This was the absolute cutest and most precious moment ever.

"Happy tears." Gabriel hummed as he wiped her flushed face with his handkerchief. "Do you like getting to match with Jaleesa?"

She nodded. "Yes, Daddy. Leesa is pretty and I am too," She smiled, licking her snot.

"You're beautiful, Melody." Jaleesa told her.

Melody opened her arms and Jaleesa's heart crumbled to love dust.

She took her carefully and readjusted her pink bow. "We're both pretty in pink,"

Melody nodded, smiling joyously. "Pwetty in pink, Leesa!" She kissed her cheek with a loud smack and giggled. "Now I kissed you!"

Gabriel was ready to forget his plans and propose to Jaleesa now.

There was no greater feeling than knowing his daughter adored the woman he wanted to marry.
