Chapter 3

Morgie's POV

I just woke up. The first thing I did was get the sorcerer's cook book. I still couldn't believe I found it. I was surprised Merlin hadn't found it yet, maybe he didn't realize it wasn't in his office. I was tempted to open it but hesitated when I remembered what happened to the others. After thinking about it for 5 minutes I decided it was worth a shot.

I slowly opened it already bracing myself to be frozen but nothing happened. I was completely fine. I didn't have time to think about it much because I had to get ready for school. I put the book away before I started getting ready. I was about to grab my shoes when there was a knock at my door.

"Morning Hook" I said.

"Morning Morgie, it's been a while since I had to visit you first" he replied as he walked in.

"Yeah, I woke up late" I replied.

"Stayed up reading your spell books again?" he asked.

"Yeah, you know me always want to learn more" I replied.

"Well you don't need to, you're already incredibly smart" he said.

I started blushing.

"You almost ready to go?" he asked as he sat on my bed.

"Yeah" I replied before going to sit down at my desk.

I quickly put my shoes on and grabbed my bag.

"Ok ready" I said.

We left my dorm. We went to go meet Maleficent and Hades at her dorm. Uliana got there a few minutes after us. She seemed to be in a better mood now that her revenege plan was in the works. We went to go eat and she just talked about how excited she was for picnic day. Afterwards we went to our classes. Today Hook and I had alchemy class.

"Good morning class, today we're going to be learning how to make a shrinking potion that we'll be testing out with tea cups" Merlin said.

"I wish we could use this on Merlin" I mumbled.

"Come on you can't let your dad get to you" Hook replied.

"I know but my mom's in a dungeon because of him" I said.

"It's ok Morgie, you'll be able to see her again" he replied.

"Thanks Hook" I said.

We started going over the instructions and getting the things that we needed.

"Is this what we need?" he asked holding a blue vial.

"Close, that's royal blue the one we need is navy blue" I replied.

He passed me the vial that was next to the one he originally grabbed.

"I get potions can be a bit tricky with all the ingredients but would something as simple as the color really make a big difference?" he asked.

"Typically yes, in this case the potion would make something float instead of shrink" I replied.

"That's very different" he said.

"Yeah but would be fun" I replied.

He hummed in agreement.

"So I know you like to learn as many spells as possible but why do you know so much about potions?" he asked.

"When Maleficent started learning other potions in her spare time she would call me to help her" I replied.

"Over time I started liking it and got potion books to read along with my spell books" I said.
