Chapter 7

Morgie's POV

It was almost 8 am when I woke up. James was still sound asleep next to me. We really needed to start getting ready for breakfast and class soon.

"James" I said shaking him gently.

No response. I rolled my eyes. How does someone who cared so much about his appearance choose to sleep in? I'm genuinely surprised that I've woken up first these past two nights. I started kissing along his jawline to get him to wake up.

"Good morning love" he said.

"Morning" I replied before kissing him.

"If this is how you're going to wake me up from now on I might need to sleep in more often" he said.

"Well we have to get up now because we have 3 classes today" I replied getting off the bed.

"We could skip and spend part of the day together before castlecoming" he suggested.

"Nice try but I'm actually excited about what we're going to learn about today so come on" I said.

"Alright darling you win" he replied.

He kissed my cheek before leaving. I started getting ready for class. After I grabbed my bag I went to his dorm.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Yup let's go" he replied.

We went to the girl's dormitory. Maleficent and Hades were just leaving her dorm when we got there.

"Morning lovebirds" she said.

"Morning" we both replied.

"Are you guys excited for today?" she asked.

"Castle coming or the prank specifically?" James asked.

"Both" she replied.

"Yeah both will be really fun" he said.

"Yeah it's going to be a fun night" I said.

We walked over to the dining hall. Uliana showed up a few minutes later, she looked really excited. We went to grab our food. She told us that we were going to get the cupcakes after school. Once we finished eating we all went to class. Uliana and Maleficent went to their class. Hades, James and I went to ours.

The day went by pretty quick. My last class ended 20 minutes ago and Uliana wanted us to meet at the kitchen to get the cupcakes before anyone found them. I cast a spell to keep the cupcakes fresh. We left them in Uliana's room before we all went to start getting ready for the dance. About an hour and a half later there was a knock on the door.

"Hi James, wow you look amazing" I said.

"Hi Morgie, you also look really handsome" he replied.

"Just wanted to see if you were ready to go and to give you this" he said handing me one of his rings.

"Thank you" I replied.

We left shortly after that. Maleficent and Hades were already waiting outside Uliana's room when we got there. A couple minutes later she walked out her room, plate of cupcakes in her hand. We all headed to the dance. Not everyone was there yet so Uliana wanted to wait. James took me out to dance. After 3 songs we went back to hang out with Maleficent and Hades. About 40 minutes later Uliana wanted to go find Bridget.

"Hi Bridget, we all felt bad about how we've treated you and wanted to apologize" Uliana said.

"Oh thank you, I forgive you guys" Bridget replied.

"Also since you like sweets we made you some cupcakes" Uli said handing her the plate.

"Awe thanks, that's so sweet of you guys" she replied taking the plate.

We all walked over to the corner shortly after that. We watched as Bridget picked up one of the cupcakes and took a bite. After a few minutes she started turning into a monster. Everyone either looked shocked or laughed at her. She looked back at us and we were all laughing. She ran out the door, Fay followed her. I'm guessing she'd try to help Bridget turn back to normal but that didn't matter since she was already humiliated. Uliana was very happy that she finally managed to get her revenge. We enjoyed the rest of the night. It was almost 1 am when we all started going to our dorms. James stopped me and pulled me back to the courtyard.

"I wanted to have at least one dance without the others being around" he said.

"I love that idea" I replied.

We slowed danced for 10 minutes before heading back to his dorm to go to sleep. Even though I never really cared about getting revenge on Bridget, this was the best castlecoming ever.

The Next Day

We were all eating and noticed Bridget wasn't there. Uliana kept laughing, talking about how happy she was that her revenge plan worked. After eating we all went to our classes. Most of the day went by quickly. I actually saw Bridget in the hallway, the second she saw me she ran the opposite direction making me laugh. Once I got to my room I saw a note on my door from James. It said to meet him in Merlin's office. I was very confused but started walking over there.

"Ah Morgie nice of you to join us" Merlin said.

"James what's going on?" I asked.

"Well I've been talking with Merlin about your mom and convinced him to let you see her" he replied.

I looked at Merlin surprised.

"Really?" I asked.

"He made a good case on why I should let you visit her every once in a while" he replied.

"Thank you" I said before turning to James.

I immediately hugged James.

"Thank you so much" I said.

"Of course love" he replied.

"I will of course have a guard nearby when you visit and I'll only let you see her for 30 minutes to start" Merlin said.

"If things seem fine I may extend the time in the future" he added.

He took us to a secret passage way before casting a spell on one of the portraits. A few seconds later we were in the tower. Merlin left shortly after that and just like he said there was a guard standing next the door. James started walking away before I grabbed his hand.

"Come with me" I said.

"Are you sure?, you haven't seen her in a long time I don't want to intrude" he replied.

"You won't, plus I want you to meet her" I said.

He nodded. I opened the door and there she was looking out the window. She turned around and I immediately ran up to her, hugging her. I explained to her how Merlin was going to let me visit her from now on, introduced her to James, talked about the school year so far and kept saying how much I missed her. The 30 minutes went by quick and we went back to his dorm.

"Thank you so much for doing that for me" I said.

"Of course Morgie, you deserve it" he replied.

I kissed him before resting my head on his chest. The rest of my time at Merlin academy was going to be amazing. I get to continue to cause mischief and chaos around the school with my friends, I have an incredible boyfriend and most importantly I get to see my mom and tell her all about it.
