ESTELLE'S POV
As we walked down the tree-lined street, the warm glow of the setting sun made everything feel magical and refreshing.
I strolled alongside my friends-Justin, Audrey, Anne, Fredrick, Sofia, Lawrence, Yohan, Bless, Jr., Joanna, JB, Darwin, Kent, Alyssa, Summer, Nicole, Cheska, and Gabrielle. We all looked amazing, and our confidence showed.
Laughter filled the air, a mix of joy and childishness. We were headed to the town square.
I wouldn't even try and brag but our circle is literally the representative of our school.
Like no other.
Each of us was a leader-students with very high honors, high reputations, respectable images, that made us proud. We were a powerful group, and I loved being part of it. Additionally, some of us came from really powerful families like Justin, JB, Fredrick, Nicole, Lawrence, Sofia, Yohan and Gabrielle.
As we walked, I noticed people glancing our way. It felt familiar, like we were on top of the world.
Sometimes, it seemed like we were in our own bubble, a space only we understood.
We shared dreams and the pressure to succeed, but we also had friendly competitions that made things exciting.
"Did you see the latest scores from the science fair?" Audrey asked, her eyes shining with excitement.
"Of course! I plan to beat everyone next year," Justin said, grinning.
"I don't know, I think I might just take that title," Lawrence joked, nudging Justin playfully.
The friendly teasing flowed easily among us. I felt proud; we weren't just friends, we were a team, always supporting each other while pushing ourselves to do better.
When we reached the town square, the lively atmosphere surrounded us. The shops sparkled with colorful displays, and the smell of delicious food filled the air. This was our playground, a place to relax and celebrate our successes.
"Selfie time!" Sofia shouted, pulling us together. I leaned in close and wrapped an arm around her.
As the camera clicked, I took a moment to enjoy it all. We were surrounded by the rewards of our hard work.
This was my life-full of laughter, competition, and a drive to excel. I wouldn't trade it for anything.
As we arrived at the town square, our excitement shifted to food and everyone seperated a bit to pick their own.
My favorite girlies, Cheska and Nicole, were with me, and I couldn't resist inviting them to take a fun photo in the restroom and film a TikTok.
We laughed as we posed, our playful energy filling the small space.
Just as we were finishing, a random girl approached us, looking scared. She hesitated, then asked if we could pretend to be her friends for a bit.
"Excuse me! Excuse me! May I ask for you girls to pretend to be my friends for now? Please?"
We exchanged glances, raising our brows as we took her in. She seemed nervous, and when she saw our expressions, she started to back away.
Cheska then called out, her voice firm. "Who got you in trouble?"
The girl froze, her eyes wide. "My ex-friends... they're bullies, and they followed me here. I'm scared of what they'll do."
Cheska, Nicole, and I looked at each other, a mix of concern and skepticism on our faces.
