GABRIEL'S POV
Sneaking into Harris's house felt like my second job at this point.
Tonight, though, I didn’t have to worry about being stealthy—his parents were out of town, and this was our moment to shine.
I grabbed my bag, stuffed with snacks, extra clothes, and of course, my trusty guitar, and made my way over, grinning like a kid on Christmas morning.
As I approached the house, I could already hear the faint sounds of music and laughter from inside.
I swung open the door, ready to make my grand entrance. “Surprise! Your favorite band member has arrived!” I announced, dramatically flinging my bag onto the floor.
The guys turned to look at me, and their faces lit up. “Finally! We thought you got lost in the snack aisle!” Kevin teased, tossing a popcorn kernel in my direction.
“Hey, it’s a legitimate danger zone,” I shot back, picking up my bag and rummaging through it. “Speaking of snacks, who’s ready for a midnight feast?”
“Dude, we’re about to head to New York! We need to save our energy!” Jacob laughed, shaking his head.
“Energy? Nah, we need to fuel our artistic spirits!” I said, pulling out a bag of gummy bears and waving it like a trophy. “These are essential for creativity!”
“Right, because nothing says ‘rock star’ like gummy bears,” Harris chimed in, rolling his eyes but smiling.
“Exactly! You guys just don’t understand the power of sugar!” I declared, tossing gummy bears into the air like confetti. They landed everywhere, and I couldn’t help but laugh as the guys scrambled to catch them.
After a brief snack attack, we settled down to finalize our plans for the trip. “Alright, boys, we’re heading to the Big Apple!” I said, trying to channel my inner hype man. “This is our chance to make a name for ourselves!”
“Or to get lost in the subway,” Brian quipped, and we all erupted into laughter.
“Hey, if we get lost, at least we’ll have a good story to tell,” I said, leaning back in my chair. “And think of all the new songs we could write about it! ‘Lost in the Subway Blues’ could be our next hit!”
“Or ‘Gummy Bears and Regret,’” Jacob added, snickering.
As we gathered our things, the guys turned to me, curiosity written all over their faces. “So, what about your parents?” Kevin asked, raising an eyebrow.
I shrugged, a mischievous grin spreading across my face. “I don’t give a damn! I’m in it for the music, baby!”
They all laughed, and with that, we were out the door, headed to the airport. The excitement was palpable as we boarded our flight, our laughter echoing through the cabin.
After what felt like an eternity of snacks and movie marathons, we finally landed in New York.
The moment I stepped off the plane, a wave of energy hit me. This was it— Harris, who had been in contact with the agency, led the way with a confident stride.
Once we reached the hotel, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of anticipation. The lobby was buzzing with people, and everything felt so alive.
“Welcome to New York!” I declared, spreading my arms wide as if to embrace the city.
“Okay, let’s keep it down before we get kicked out,” Jacob teased, but I was too hyped to care.
After checking in, we dropped our bags in our rooms, and I immediately pulled out my phone.
I had to let Estelle know I was finally here. I typed a quick message: “Guess what? I’m in New York! Can’t wait to show you everything!”
As I hit send, I felt a thrill rush through me. I hoped she’d be just as excited. I could already imagine her reaction, her eyes lighting up at the thought of me being in the city that never sleeps.
“Alright, guys, let’s meet up with the agency!” Harris said, glancing at his watch. “We don’t want to keep them waiting.”
“Let’s do this!” I cheered, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. We all headed out, the bustling streets of New York greeting us like an old friend.
Walking through the city, I soaked in the sights and sounds—the honking taxis, the chatter of people, the vibrant energy. This was where dreams were made, and I was ready to dive in headfirst.
As we approached the agency’s office, I could feel my heart racing. This was our shot, and I was determined to make the most of it. We entered the building, and the atmosphere shifted to a more serious tone.
Once inside, we were greeted by a representative who welcomed us with a warm smile. “Glad you could make it! We’re excited to see what you guys have to offer.”
As we settled in for the meeting, I glanced around, trying to take in every detail. This was it—the start of something big.
And with my brothers by my side, I felt invincible.
“Let’s show them what we’ve got!” I whispered to the guys, and they all nodded in agreement.
