Yes, I'm alive! Just didn't have inspo for this book in so long, but if you send it, I'll write it ;)
Time frame you should have in mind: it's about March 2024.
Your eyes flutter open, the sunlight escaping through the blinds. It took you a good minute to locate yourself. When you did, you realized your girlfriend, Taylor, was still curled up against you, with some hickeys on her neck, in light of yesterday's celebrations.
It had only been seven months since you met Taylor, and four in which you could call her your girl. Back in one of the first shows of the tour. You had hurt yourself during Inglewood night two. You'd gone to the show with a friend, Melina. You weren't even a fan, but Melina was good at getting what she wanted when she wanted, and she's your best friend, after all. You really didn't listen to Taylor's music a lot, but obviously, you found her attractive, because hello, we're talking Taylor Swift here.
You broke your foot and needed aid from the team backstage. As it happens, she was still there, too.
Inglewood, Night Two
"Are you okay?" A girl with a black shirt and a "can I help?" sign came up to you when saw you limping.
"No, I- ... I twisted my ankle and it hurts really bad"
"Okay, come with me." She said, pointing to the wheelchair. You sat on it and she carefully strapped you to it, making sure you were secured. Wheeling you backstage, the medic quickly approached you, seeing your swollen ankle.
"How did that happen?" The medic asked.
"I guess I tripped? I don't know. How long is this gonna take? I'm sorry but my friend.. I came with my friend and I'm not from California like she is. I don't know how to get around here so she can't leave without me!"
"Come on now, your friend won't leave you here!" Someone said.
"Oh, she would. The emotion of seeing Taylor Swift for the first time is making her quite forgetful." You answered, your British accent taking over.
"Are you British?" The voice asked.
"Bloody difficult, huh?" You forced. "But yeah, just from the downtown of Salisbury." You smiled, now looking up. All this time, you were looking down and didn't see who was talking to you. Now, you indeed recognized the voice.
"From Reading, Pennsylvania. My family had a Christmas Tree Farm near Wyomissing. Ever heard of it?" Taylor smirked. "I'm Taylor, nice to meet you." She offered her hand.
Starstruck were you.
"I'm.. I'm Y/n Cooper" you shook her hand. "I'm sorry, I didn't quite expect you to be here."
"What? In the backstage of my own show?" She cheekily said back.
"No, I.. I didn't mean it like that, I just-" you stammered
"Relax, I know what you meant. I'm just joking with you." She pulled a chair next to you. "How's her ankle, Emmy?" Taylor asked the medic.
"It's not just a sprain, unfortunately. I fear you might have broken it."
"No.. that.. that can't be it! I don't.. huh! Do you know any hospitals in the area that... oh for crying out loud I'm in the United States. Sweet mother of Jesus, I don't have this kind of money!" you cursed. "Oh, bloody hell," you muttered under your breath, anxiety creeping in. "I don't have insurance here, and the last thing I can afford is a hospital bill. Not in this country. It'll cost me an arm and a leg... no pun intended."
Taylor stiffened a giggle.
"Don't you worry about that, I'll make sure we'll get you to the nicest hospital out there. On me." She said.
