Kai's POV

The last thing I expected when I opened the door was to see the new girl from my class standing there, holding a tray of cookies and looking like she was about to jump out of her own skin. I think her name is Yuna. She seems surprised, too. Her eyes were wide, her cheeks a little flushed, and she was staring at me like I was some kind of apparition. She was kind of cute.

"Oh... hi," she managed, her voice softer than usual. She was trying to act casual, but I could tell she was caught off guard. It was honestly a little amusing. I raised an eyebrow, glancing down at the tray in her hands. She blinked, clearly not knowing what to say, which only made her look more flustered.

"Y-yeah I brought cookies for my new neighbors" she stammered, gripping the tray a bit tighter. "I, um... I didn't know you lived here." Guess it's a surprise for both of us, I thought. I allowed myself a faint smirk, watching her try to hold herself together. "Lucky us, I guess," I said. That seemed to throw her off even more. Her cheeks went pink, and she looked down at the tray, then back up at me. Without warning, she shoved the whole tray into my hands, her words spilling out a little too quickly.

"Here! I hope you like them!" Her cheeks were even more flushed now, and I could feel her embarrassment like a wave.

I just held the tray, keeping my expression neutral. "Thanks," I said simply, watching her as she looked everywhere but at me. Before I could even say anything else, she spun around and dashed down the hall toward her own door, practically fleeing. I watched as she disappeared into her apartment, the door clicking shut behind her, and I couldn't hold back the small laugh that escaped me which was very unlike me

I looked down at the cookies in my hands, still warm. She had probably baked them herself. Shaking my head slightly, I closed the door behind me and carried the tray into the kitchen.

I had barely set the tray of cookies on the kitchen counter when Beomgyu's voice echoed through the apartment.

"Who was at the door?" he called out from the living room, a hint of suspicion in his tone.

I shrugged, keeping my expression as neutral as always. "Just a neighbor. She brought cookies."

That got their attention. Beomgyu appeared in the doorway, his eyes narrowing as he took in the tray of warm cookies. "A neighbor brought us cookies? You're joking."

Yeonjun, still shirtless from his shower, leaned over to peer at the tray. "Are these... homemade? Did you seriously charm someone into free food already?" He smirked, his amusement evident.

I rolled my eyes. "I didn't charm anyone. She just showed up with them. I think her name is Yuna, she's in my class. One of the new students you seem to be so fond off"

Taehyun, who had been listening from the couch, raised an eyebrow. "Wait, does that mean all those new girls live here"

"Yeah probably. She didn't know we were her neighbors, apparently," I said, reaching for one of the cookies and taking a bite. Soft and warm, with a hint of chocolate—definitely homemade. Not bad, I thought, though I kept my reaction to myself.

Beomgyu scoffed, crossing his arms. "So, she made these? Seems a little suspicious for a new girl to just... show up out of nowhere with treats." Taehyun glanced between Beomgyu and me, a smirk tugging at his lips. "Maybe not everything has to be some big scheme, Beomgyu. Maybe she's just nice?"

"Exactly," I said simply, popping the rest of the cookie into my mouth. "Not everyone has an angle." Yeonjun grabbed a cookie off the tray with a shrug. "Hey, if they're free, I'm not asking questions. They're good."
