The fighters walked silently, the crunch of their boots on the frosty ground the only sound echoing in the stillness. Shadows stretched long over the barren landscape, while the fading sunlight cast a dim, orange glow that mixed uneasily with the encroaching darkness. Each breath clouded in the air, and the distant call of a lone crow seemed to deepen the chill.
The dark opening loomed like a warning, its depths unknown. Yet, they had a mission, and hesitation was not an option. Even the bravest among them felt a hint of dread; something awaited in the cave darker than night.
Esmia knew something was going to go wrong she just knew, that the silence from her mother in the past month, the disappearance of Levon.
Her heart threatened to come out as the horrible stench reached her nose, she wore her mask.
