*Aura's POV*

The car ride is over an hour long and we have about 25 minutes left of it. Ava and I been talking the whole time so far. She's such a lovely genuine person and she is so funny. She's had me in stitches. She has completely taken my mind off what is about to come. We have also been singing out loud to different R&B songs together. She likes the same music as I do but looking at her, you wouldn't think that. She's full of surprises, I guess.

"So how are you feeling poppet?" She asks as we the approach the last 10 minutes of our journey.

I can feel my heart beat start to thump against my chest again. The guilt, the shame. How am I suppose to face them after I broke Tate. I think Ava could tell my shift in my demeanour.

"Hey Aura. You're okay. You'll be fine. I'm sure you'll sort it out." She says, putting her hand on thigh and rubs it.

I grab her hand and hold it. Intertwining my fingers into hers. She looks at me and smiles. She makes me feel lighter when I speak to her. It's so refreshing being around her.

We eventually pull up outside my building. It's time.
I turn towards Ava.

"Ava, you have no idea how much I appreciate everything you have done for me. You mean so much to me already. How can I ever repay you?" I ask looking into her eyes.

"You never have to repay me. Our friendship isn't conditional poppet. You mean a lot to me already too. I will always be there for you Aura. You remember our promise though right?" She says putting her hand on the back of my head, stroking my hair.

"Yes I remember. You have my number so text me so I have yours. I'll always come to you Ava." I say.

She leans in "see, such a good girl." She kisses my cheek. I can't help but blush again.

"Bye Ava, see you soon. Thank you for dropping me home. Please text me when you get back, otherwise I'll worry about you." I say in a worried voice.

"Of course sweetheart, go on in. You've got this brave girl. See you soon." She says as she drives off into the night.

I wait until she drives off fully and I can't see her anymore then I turn around and stare up at my building in front of me. I take a deep breath and walk inside. I hop into the elevator and begin my ascent towards my floor. My heart feels like it's going to fall out my chest, I feel like I'm going to throw up, I'm shaking and my palms are so sweaty.

I expect the girls to be asleep as it's so late so as I approach the door I unlock it and push it open quietly so I don't disturb the girls.

As soon as I enter into corridor. I hear the girls come running and screaming for me. I haven't heard them scream like this before. They all come sprinting down the corridor and grab me into theirs arm. They are all crying and sobbing like they actually missed me? The interaction took me a little by surprise.

"Omg you're alive Aura."

"Baby, you're here. You're here!"

"Thank you, thank you. You bought her home."

"She's alive, she's here!"

"Where have you been?!"

"We thought we had lost you forever."
