"Wat is the occasion" l asked the maid who had come with the clothes.
" It is your claiming ceremony. Pray hard that you land in good hands" she said
" What is a claiming ceremony?" I asked oblivious of what that was.
"Everyone brought from another pack has to get a master. You are claimed so as to get a master." she said.
"What happens when you get a master "I stupidly asked.
"You have to follow the master's rules or die. No other noble is allowed to touch you except for your master" she said.
I started praying silently for Carl to claim me coz he was the only noble I knew at the moment.
I was soon done dressing and I looked dashing in the black gown.
The maid led me to the Palace hall which was filled with nobles of all types. I was led to a designated seat in the middle of the hall. I looked around and and could only see lust in all of the nobles eyes.
I finally spotted Carl who just gave me a reassuring smile helping me calm down.
"Any one who wishes to claim the lady amidst you, speak up" said the eunch.
" 200silver coins" said a noble to my right.
This was outrageous, they were actually auctioning me.
"Make them500for the gorgeous creature" I heard another one say.
The auctioning went on and on. All this time my questioning eyes never left Carl who was comfortably sipping his tea with a smile. How dare he be that calm at such a moment.
"1000 gold pieces" said Carl on finishing his tea. The whole hall went silent.
"Ha ha ha!"laughed Enzo and his voice echoed in the silent hall.
"1010 then" he said.
" 1500" said Carl.
"1600"said Enzo.
"2000"said Carl and Enzo fell silent
"The princess goes to Prince Carl" announced the eunch and the hall became noisy again.
My heart slowly accelerated to its normal pace knowing that I belonged to Carl.
