Mithun

She's gone to our Village while here I'm left to take care of my work. I was quite hesitant to send her alone but she reassured me that she would be alright and thus, I've let her go.

What do I do without her? It's just completely dry.

At present, I'm laying on the couch and watching a random wrestling fight. It's boring, honestly. And my Ganga haven't called me yet...she must be tired after attending the engagement.

Yet I couldn't help grabbing my phone and looking for her calls.

She could have left the Village once the function gets over but I asked her to stay with her parents for a while as she was obviously missing them a lot. She was tentative-however, not against the idea and I'm sure she's enjoying her time there.

It's not a problem unless she forgets me. I tap on the contacts and speculate within myself about whether to call her or not. It's not ego-it's the need to be missed by her. I want her to call me.

I toss the phone away and await for her to ring me.

It was around 8.15 when my mobile rang and I was disappointed to discover that it was just a spam call.

Idiots.

Did my wife forget me or what?

Munching on a fried chicken piece that I bought along with Parota, I call her, myself. She picks up the phone after it seemed like the call would go unattended.

"Hello,"

"Mama!"

"Oh, you remember me?"

"Yes mama...I was busy, there's relatives in our home too mama..."

"Seri...are you having fun then? Are you happy?"

"Of course!! So much! But the only thing that's bothering me is your absence,"

Indeed, no call all day proves that point. Hey, she was busy. Oh yes.

"Have you had dinner?"

"Yes mama...did you?"

"I'm having it right now,"

"What did you cook today?"

"I'd no mood to cook, so I just got some take outs,"

"Oh..."

"Hm..."

"Anyway, I guess you should spend more time with your family while you're there...bye,"

"That doesn't appear to come from your heart,"

"It didn't. It came from my mouth,"

"That's a lame joke mama,"

"It wasn't even a joke, genius,"

"Mama...."

"Yea?"

"I've to tell you something,"

"What is it?"

"I miss you mama," Man, that feels good.

"And what do you think I'm undergoing at the moment?? I so terribly miss you rascal..."

"I will start by tomorrow evening mama...I don't want to stay away from you and my parents aren't pleased about it as well..." Oh to have such understanding in-laws.

"Seri, I'll book the ticket and pick you up at the bus stand..."

"Now you sound less tragic,"

"Hm...I can't wait to see you,"

"Me too, mama..."

"And your boobs too,"

"They miss you as well,"

"And what else misses me?"

"You know what,"

"Huh? I'm not sure,"

"Mama...carry on with eating..."

"Does it not miss me?"

"It does..." She whispers.

"Di..."

"What mama?"

"I love you,"

There was silence for a long while before she shyly mutters her love.
