The hospital had barely begun to quiet down when the group of seven doctors made their way to the ground floor, laughing and chatting like old times. Despite the whirlwind of introductions and formalities, the promise of catching up over coffee was more than enough to keep the mood light.

They arrived at the café "Healing Hearts," a cozy place tucked in the corner of the hospital, known for its calming atmosphere and quiet corners where long conversations could flow without interruption. It was the perfect spot for them to relax and reconnect.

As soon as they entered, Jimin practically jumped into Taehyung’s arms, his excitement obvious. "Tae!" Jimin exclaimed, squeezing him tightly. "It’s been so long, I swear I missed you more than I thought I would!"

Taehyung laughed, catching him effortlessly, his arms wrapping around Jimin in return. "You’re heavy, Jimin-ah," Taehyung teased, but his smile was warm, a true reflection of how happy he was to see his old friend.

Yoongi shook his head with a smirk as he and Hoseok exchanged amused glances. "Looks like some things never change."

"Let them have their moment," Namjoon said, his voice soft with affection for his friends. "It’s good to see everyone like this."

Soon enough, the group gathered around a large table, the hum of quiet conversations filling the air. The café’s gentle atmosphere seemed to welcome them, allowing them to forget the pressures of their respective fields and just enjoy the company.

Jungkook leaned back in his chair, looking around at his friends. The conversation had flowed from one topic to another, but there was one thing still on his mind. His eyes flicked over to Taehyung, sitting across from him, and without thinking, he asked, "So, where do you stay, Tae?"

Taehyung paused, taking a sip from his coffee before answering, "Oh, I live in a place called Heaven’s Gate, just a nearby apartment complex. Jin and I share it."

Jimin’s eyes lit up, his excitement palpable. "Wait, you live there?!" He leaned forward, almost knocking over his cup. "Jungkook and I live in the same building too! And guess what? Jin and Taehyung are just two floors below us!"

Jungkook’s brows furrowed in surprise. "No way," he muttered. "That’s... that’s crazy. Small world, huh?"

Taehyung chuckled, nodding. "It really is. Didn’t expect that."

Yoongi, ever the observer, glanced at Jungkook. "You didn’t mention that you and Tae were practically neighbors."

Jungkook shrugged, his expression unreadable. "Not something I thought about," he replied simply, but his eyes lingered on Taehyung for a moment longer than usual.

As the laughter died down, Namjoon spoke up, looking a little lost in the conversation. "So... I just arrived this morning," he said, shaking his head slightly. "I was actually about to go apartment hunting when Yoongi and Hoseok offered me a place."

Hoseok grinned, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Of course, we did. Palm Atlanta is just a couple of buildings away from you guys. We have three bedrooms. Plenty of space."

Namjoon’s face lit up with gratitude. "Really? That would be amazing, actually. I was kind of stressing over finding a place." He chuckled. "Guess I didn’t expect to get a solution so quickly."

Yoongi leaned back, a smug look on his face. "We’ve got you covered. And don’t worry, we’ll make sure you feel right at home."

"Well, this is great," Namjoon said, relief washing over him. "I’m actually glad I don’t have to deal with apartment hunting now."

With the living arrangements sorted, the conversation drifted to more casual topics. They reminisced about college days, teasing each other about who was the most hardworking, who got the most attention from professors, and who was the worst cook (Jimin immediately volunteered himself for that title). The playful banter continued, and even Jungkook cracked a rare smile as they all laughed.

"You know, I missed this," Jin said after a pause, his voice thoughtful. "Just being with all of you again, it feels like no time has passed at all."

"Exactly," Taehyung agreed, his voice warm. "It’s like we’ve never been apart. It feels good to be with family."

Jimin grinned, leaning forward to throw an arm around Taehyung. "I’m glad we can finally work together. It’s like the old crew is back, but with a lot more responsibilities."

Jungkook, who had been mostly quiet, looked at Taehyung once again, his mind drifting. He was still processing everything—his feelings for his friends, his feelings for Taehyung—but for now, he allowed himself to enjoy the moment, the simple joy of being with them again.

"Yeah," he murmured, his voice softer than usual. "It’s good to have everyone back."

The laughter continued, the chatter flowing naturally as they all took turns ordering different dishes from the café’s menu. The energy in the room was light, the kind of warmth that only old friends could create. As they talked, it felt like no time had passed since their college days.

Eventually, the sun began to dip lower in the sky, and the café started to empty out. One by one, they all finished their drinks and stood up, ready to go their separate ways. But there was a sense of contentment in the air—a knowledge that they were back where they belonged, together.

"Well," Namjoon said as he stretched, "I guess it’s time to head out. Thanks for everything, guys."

"Yeah, we’ll catch up tomorrow at work," Jin said, patting Namjoon on the back. "Glad we got this chance to hang out."

Yoongi and Hoseok waved as they headed for the door. "Goodnight, everyone. See you around."

As they filed out of the café, Jimin couldn’t help but notice the way Taehyung lingered near Jungkook, his gaze lingering on him for just a second too long. A small smile tugged at Taehyung’s lips, but he quickly turned away, following the others.

Jungkook, too, seemed lost in thought, but his eyes flicked over to Taehyung one more time before he stepped out into the night.

The group of friends walked together into the cool evening, a sense of quiet joy settling over them. They had been apart for so long, but now that they were reunited, it felt like no force could tear them apart again.

But for Jungkook, there was something more than just the joy of being with old friends. There was something about Taehyung—something he couldn’t quite explain. And though he didn’t say anything, the way his heart raced when Taehyung smiled at him spoke volumes.

The night was young, but they all knew tomorrow would bring new challenges. Yet, in this moment, they didn’t care. For the first time in a long while, everything felt right.

And for Jungkook, that was enough—for now.
