That night neither of them slept. Ryan was struggling to stay awake, while Garou had his eyes peeled in darkness, training himself to adapt for it.
R:"Oh I hear more of them. You sure we shouldn't go exterminate them now"
G:"No. Go to sleep"
R:"Even if I wanted to leave you alone in this.. I still can't. It's unbearable. At least can we PLEASE go kill them tomorrow?"
G:"Have you figured how deal with swarms of them?"
R:"You said they were in basement, basement is not made of wood so.. we can use fire there"
G:"And do you have any fire on you? Or do you expect me to magically produce it?" - Garou's voice was mixed with sarcasm and annoyance.
R:"Nooo. But I'm we can get some aerosol here, lighters should be easy too"
Garou just scoffed.
R:"Hey genius, I'm open to your ideas as well! At least I'm trying to think of something here"
G:"Stop yelling and let me rest a bit"
R:"Fine.... there's one on the floor there..'' - Garou impaled the bug with a pen, right as Ryan was about to point it out.
R:''Nice throw''
Garou only sighed to that and kept a watch throughout the night. Ryan couldn't sleep, but he did his best to not disrupt Garou.
The night went by with similar instances, of bugs creeping in and Garou trying to dispatch them, while Ryan slept (or rather tried to).In the morning
R:"Yawn.. huh? Where are you Garou"
The door slid open just in that moment and Garou came in all beat up, but mostly just angry. He walked in, silently cursing.
G:"Now we can't even reach the kitchen" - He down on his bed, unable to think of what to do next.
Ryan stayed silent for a while, thinking about the current situation. After a moment he stood up and went to the exit of the room.
G:"H.. hey where do you think you're going?" - Garou shot up in anger, though he only wanted Ryan not to get hurt from the bugs.
R:"I'm hungry, I'll go search up some food" - he spoke in a tired yet considering tone.
G:"Where you listening idiot? There probably is no food left and we can't get to it" - Garou became silently livid.
R:"Well.. for you maybe" - Ryan smirked and limped out of the room.
Garou was flabbergasted, he couldn't make out whether he was pissed off or surprised.
G:"H... hey wait you moron!!" - he came to his senses and ram after Ryan.
Ryan was just standing right outside the room, looking downwards.
Garou soon noticed he was looking at a critter, who was staring right back.R:"Garou? The pen?" Garou looked at Ryan, a bit confused and just threw the pen at critter.
R:".. That works" - Ryan spoke without surprise and kneeled to the tiny corpse.
Garou showed a tired, irritated face and he was going to drag Ryan back in, until he heard a munch.
G:"What are you doing!?!" - Garou pulled up Ryan, shaking him.
R:"Don't be angry, but... i might have solved the hunger issue" - He held the critter in front of Garou with a slightly worried look.
R:"Once we take back kitchen, we can cook them"
