Visenya's POV

I was standing among the children with Ser Criston in my riding clothes as I watched him train the boys in the training yard. It was obvious he took his dislike for Rhaeynera out on her children as he doesn't train them properly.

I wave to my eldest brother as he smiles at me from where he sits watching the children.

"Aegon, eyes of the woman." I demand of him and his head snaps to me with a blush.

"Im sorry, Aunt. But I've won my first bout. My opponent sues for mercy." Aegon speaks and I look over to Ser Criston who smirks at me and I shake my head with a grin.

"Then you wouldn't mind fighting me then?" I ask taking out my sword shadow. Aegon's eyes widened as the sound of metal being unsheathed sliced through the air.

I twirl my sword around my wrist and motion for him to come at me as everyone stops what they are doing to watch.

"I do not wish to harm you, sweet Aunt." Aegon tells me and I throw my head back and chuckle.

"Oh, you won't sweetling." I tell him. He sighs but lets out a shout as he attacks, I use my sword to block them and move around him, and he pants as he grows tired from attacking.

"You are looking tired Aegon. Do you need a rest?" I ask him and he grows more annoyed attacking harder, I use my sword to knock his out his hand and hit him with the blunt side on his behind as he bends over to pick it back up, knocking him down. I walk over to him and hold my sword to his throat." Do you know why I made you fight me Aegon?" I ask him and he shakes his head as he looks up at me embarrassed.

"Because you are not taking your training seriously, you are a prince, when I was but a girl someone broke into this very castle and held a knife to my throat." I tell him and he eyes the scar on my neck. I put my sword away and hold out my hand to him, he takes it and I heave him up onto his feet and gently wipe the dirt from him." I want you strong and safe, Aegon. Take this seriously please, for me, so I do not have to worry about someone hurting you." I tell him and he nods. I cup his face and lay a kiss on his head.

"Good boy, now go help your brother defeat Ser Criston." I tell him, he looks around me to see Aemond fighting Sir Criston and jumps in to deflect a hit that was going to hit Aemond. Neither of them gets a hit on Sir Criston but they work together as brothers and that makes me smile.

"It seems the younger boys could do better with a bit of your attention, Ser Criston." Harwin speaks.

"You question my methods of instruction, ser?" Ser Criston asks the Strong man.

"I merely suggest that method be applied to all your pupils." Harwin speaks once more.

"Very well." Ser Criston speaks and I know nothing good will come from it. " Jacaerys, come here." he says grabbing the boy by his armor and yanking him.

"Careful." I warn Sir Criston.

"Apologies, princess." He pulls Jacaerys less harshly." You spar with Aegon." Criston tells the boy."Eldest son against eldest son." I sigh at this and shake my head.

"It's hardly a fair match." Harwin speaks.

"I know you've never seen battle, ser, but when steel is drawn, a fair match isn't something anyone should expect." I don't complain as I know Sir Criston is correct, nothing is fair in life.

"Blades up. Engage." Criston speaks and Aegon goes in for an attack. Jace blocks as much as he can but eventually Aegon pushes him down. Jace gets up angrily and yells as he sprints at Aegon spoking the pale-haired prince, Jace pushes him back and eventually, Aegon dodges and uses the Straw 'man' and pushes it into Jace.
