Visenyas POV

I lay in bed, the Maester thought there was a lot of blood from when I was tossed around and punched in the stomach, he believed I would be fine, but must keep an eye on the bleeding.

I clutch the babe in my arms, the Maester tried to take him away from me but I did not allow it.

"I wish to write a letter to Aegon." I speak up for the first time, and Rhaenyra snaps her head to me.

"I-I think we can arrange that." She says and orders the maid to get paper and ink.

Rhaenyra sits at the table with the paper and ink." I shall write it for you princess while you hold the babe." I feel thankful for that, as she lets me mourn and doesn't force me to leave my babe.

"Aegon, my sweet boy. I have arrived at Dragonstone safely, I have spoken to the Queen and she knows that you do not wish to be king. I heard about your son, and I am sorry to hear about it, but I feel you must know Rhaeynra had nothing to do with it and they were not supposed to come for the babe but my husband your brother was the target." I speak giving time for Rhaenyra to write.

"I do not know if it was you who sent Ser Arryk, but I sincerely hope it was not, as I was with the queen when he attacked, and the result of such he had been the cause of my loss of babe. I wish to know who sent him if it was not you, I wish to know if you still do not wish to be king. I love you always, Visenya Targaryen."

"I will have this sent out through Mysaria, she will make sure it will be given to Aegon and no one but Aegon." I nod at her words as I fight for my tired eyes to stay open.

"Can you write a letter to my brother, tell him what has happened?" I ask Rhaeynra and she nods at me sadly, I look down at the cold lifeless babe in my arms.

"The Maester may take him now." I tell her and she calls for the Maester.

I allow myself to fall asleep once the babe is out of my arms, and when I wake we attend the funeral. I was dressed in black clutching to Rhaeynra's arm. I wanted the funeral to be small, only Rhaenyra, Jace, and Rhaenys stood with me to give me comfort.

Rhaegal stood not far off as I stared at the pyre, reminding me more and more of Aemma and Baelons funeral.

"Take your time, Visenya." Rhaenyra says and I nod, I walk up to the pyre where my babe lays wrapped in cloth, and I lay a bundle of flowers that I picked and lay it next to him, I kiss the cloth and walk back over to Jace and Rhaenyra.

Rhaenyra wraps an arm around my waist as Jace takes my right hand in his.

"Dracarys." I speak and Rhaegal who was watching me carefully sets the pyre aflame. I stand and watch it burn for only a moment before I turn and walk away.

I know Rhaenyra wanted to see Ser Erryk buried and I wanted to be alone, I offered to take over Rhaenys's watch of the ports, but Rhaenyra wasn't for it, she told me I needed rest but I insisted and insisted until she gave in. I dressed in riding gear and flew out with Rhaegal, Seasmoke following behind. We spent most of the day patroling, my body ached with pain from the birth, but I used that pain to torture myself. If only I was stronger, or smarter, then maybe I could take my visions and use them for good, but Im always too late, always too late.

I leave the port when it grows late and I fly back to Dragonstone with a heavy heart, Seasmoke once again following behind me. I stay atop of Rhaegal and fly around Dragonstone for a moment as I haven't flown atop a dragon properly for a while, Seasmoke curiously continues to follow until I land Rhaegal into the pit and Seasmoke flies off.

I pass the dragon keepers as I pull off my gloves, I limp as I walk slowly through the halls the pain between my legs was not helped by the saddle I had sat on almost all day.

I march in on the council meeting everyone stops talking as I enter and looks at me, I freeze and look around at all the faces at the table.

"Princess, have a seat." Rhaenyra motions to the chair at her left side and I nod quietly, everyone watches me as I slowly walk to sit trying to keep my limping to a minimum. I wince as I slowly sit down.

"How fares Prince Daemon with our army?" A man speaks up as I stare down at the table, just sitting here so I can be kept up to date.

"There has been no word from Prince Daemon, Your Grace."

"Then we must press what advantage we do have."

All the voices mush together and I am unable to tell who is speaking.

"And what is that?"

"Dragons. Send them all out." I frown at that." Start turning Green strongholds to our cause and burn those who resist."

"No. If dragons begin fighting dragons, we invite our own destruction. Fear of it is in itself a weapon." Rhaenyra speaks." The Greens will make the same calculation."

A man laughs and I snap my head up with a nasty glare.

"The value of a sword is not within its scabbard." The man speaks.

"We will secure victory with armies, not with dragons alone. The Greens understand that. The Vale and the North will send men. We must give Daemon time." I look back down at the table.

"Ah, Your Grace, you have witnessed firsthand just how vulnerable you are. Prince Daemon is abroad, and Aegon's factions are enraged at the death of his son. You have never been so exposed."

"Perhaps it is time for you to think about secreting yourself somewhere safe, while we remain here as a source of distraction for the enemy." I break out into laughter at that, the room goes quiet as my laughter continues.

I hum as I finish my laughter and glance up with a glare," You propose to conduct the war in the queen's absence. You wish to take over, and rule?" I ask.

"No princess, you misunderstand. It would merely be a precaution..." I cut him off.

"I understand perfectly thank you." I snap shutting him up." I fought in battles at my brother Daemon's side, what you suggest is treason. You are fortunate you took it no further. This council would do well to remember that their queen wears the crown of Jaehaerys the Conciliator. A prudent ruler, the wisest of Targaryen kings, whose reign outlasted every other... even Aegon the Conqueror's." I trail on.

"Rhaenyra is your queen, she speaks and you listen, perhaps you should try doing that instead of trying to find ways to push her off her throne so you un-deservings my rule in her steed." I snap and I stand.

"Excuse me, my queen." I speak to Rhaenyra and she nods as she stands up taking my arm in hers and she helps walk me out.

"Thank you, for standing so loyally at my side, I know we haven't always been close." I sigh at her words and hold her hand that was wrapped around my arm.

"You are my queen, I will always be there for you." I tell her.
