Chapter 9: At the Combat Platform

I could see his small piercing violet eyes staring at me while he stretched his long left arm. We are now at the third floor's Combat platform, it was placed in front the door that divided the third floor. Each floor had a Combat platform, for completion purposes. It was a red octagon platform elevated from the ground by two feet."Are you ready now little one?" he asked with his smile that didn't fail to scare my guts. He stood with the door facing his back, "You must be ready to feel the pain I will cause you." The door was opened, maybe Jediael left it open.

"You still have time to walk away from this, Gid," Gol advised me, he was standing outside the platform. I could sense Gol's concern for me but it's too late now, it's now or never.

My belief was what I'm fighting here for, my belief in dreaming. 'I will fulfill my dream!' I thought. "I decided already pal," I answered and smiled at him.

"He's not on your league." Gol added.

"As you are, hehehe," I replied and I hold my hands and gave him a thumb's up, "I just need to give my best, and prove him that I have right to dream high."

"Hahaha. Here you are again, talking impossible thing. What makes you think you can defeat me? Hahaha!" Jediael was done stretching and now resting his hands on his hips. "You better wear your armor," he suggested.

I did what he suggested; I had this feeling that this fight will be a painful one. Oh crap.

"Be careful Gid. He's not only strong. He's fast also. He can create a tornado from his arms." Gol said that loud enough so that I could hear him.

"Can we start?" Jediael asked.

"Hey Jediael! What if they caught us here?" Gol shouted to Jediael, he's referring to the Heroes inside the other part of third floor.

"Don't worry loser, all Unos are practicing now and the Mayors are having a meeting with the Kapitans," Jediael reasoned out. "And I'll assure you that three minutes is more than enough for me to finish this fight."

"Let's start!" I shouted and I faced Jediael, 'What now? Should I attack first?', I thought.

I studied him, he's three meters away from me and he's not even on his fighting stance, he still leaning backward with his hands still rested on his hips. 'Is he underestimating me?'

I stepped my right foot forward and I leaned my torso also a little forward, while holding my staff on the top of my legs: still undecided what to do.

'What now, pal? I must do something now. But this, Jediael guy,... I can't read him. Crap!' I thought.

Suddenly, he shouted, "Let's start!" He dashed on me, with his head first and with his hands on his back, which I could not see, he's fast approaching. Though I was surprised, I still managed to leap back, which gave me 2 meters away from him, and planned a counter, 'He's wide open,' I thought. I thrust my staff right through him, but I heard a loud explosion, 'Is that a wind?' and he managed to dodged my thrust without an effort and he don't even reduced his speed rather he accelerated instantly to my right side after that explosion, which made him one foot closer to me.

"Hi!" he said. 'What? How?!' he's now in front of me,I was shocked and lost my balance. I stepped my right foot backward to support my weight to prevent me from falling.

Maybe he saw that I'm now in a crisis, "Hehehe, I got you now!" he said and he stopped. He leaned backward, while he swung his right arm and placed it over his head. "Eat this one!" He shouted and a tornado formed from his wrist to his hand.

"What?!!!" I shouted. The tornado produced a sound as if I'm in the middle of the storm, which made me more terrified. 'I must do something!!!' I thought. I desperately swung my staff, aiming on his right ribs.
