After I woke up, Chiron asked the two girls in the Big House to go, while he talked to me.

Now we were walking to what seemed like a strawberry field, and there were two girls. One with blonde hair, styled in princess curls, and her skin a deep tan. She was reading, but as we approached she looked up from her book fiercely, and I felt like she was someone I should be afraid of.

The other girl was the one who was feeding me earlier with that drink that tasted like the blue chocolate chip cookies my mom always made me when I was little. She was raven-haired with long straight hair, her eyes were a piercing blue, almost grayish. She was picking strawberries with an older boy, and didn't seem to notice us coming.

"Annabeth, Kayla, I have a masters archery class this noon, can you take him from here?" The blonde nodded, while the raven frowned.

"But I wanted to join the lesson?"

"I know if you'll come you'll succeed perfectly, you'll be more helpful with him."

Her look hardened glaring at me, but she nodded firmly, and Chiron smiled.
"Cabin eleven for now, I'm sure Hermes kids will be happy to welcome you until you are determined." He smiled at me. "Make yourself home."

The two girls looked at each other, a strange look on their face; then they walked with us to the cabins.

Cabin eleven was the most normal-looking of them all, like a simple summer camp cabin. On the doorway there was one of these medics simbols, a winged pole with two snakes wrapped around it...What was its name? Oh yeah, a caduceus.

As the door opened, I could see it was packed with both boys and girls, way more than the bunk beds. A lot of sleeping bags were thrown here and there. It looked like a gym where the Red Cross had put up an evacuation center.
Chiron didn't go in, the door was too low for him. Though all of the campers stood up and bowed respectfully.

"Good luck Percy, I'll see you at dinner."
Then he galloped away to the archery range.

I stood in the doorway, looking at the kids. They weren't bowing anymore. They were staring at me, sizing me up. I knew this routine. I'd gone through it at enough schools.

"Well?" Annabeth prompted.
"Go on."

So naturally I tripped coming in the door and made a total fool of myself. There were some snickers from the campers, but none of them said anything.
Annabeth announced, "Percy Jackson, meet cabin eleven."
"Regular or undetermined?" somebody asked.

I didn't know what to say, but Kayla said, "Undetermined."

Everybody groaned.
A guy who was a little older than the rest came forward.

"Now, now, campers. That's what we're here for. Welcome, Percy. You can have that spot on the floor, right over there."

The guy was about nineteen, and he looked pretty cool. He was tall and muscular, with short-cropped sandy hair and a friendly smile. He wore an orange tank top, cutoffs, sandals, and a leather necklace with five different-colored clay beads. The only thing unsettling about his appearance was anthick white scar that ran from just beneath his right eye to his jaw, like an old knife slash.
